And he couldn't answer it. Lol. Kent Taylor didn't block on that TD catch. He ran across the middle, caught a pass and ran for a touchdown. Completely uncovered. It was beautiful.

I don't think I'll listen to Pease anymore.

Neither of the highly touted TE's will amount to much. Will probably have to wait on the next coaching staff to find a reliable answer at TE.

I liked what I saw out of Thompson in his limited play this year. Who knows what Taylor can give us in two years.

How the hell is Kent Taylor not physically ready to play? Isn't that what they pay Dillman to take care of? He's been in the system for two years.

Dillman is supposed to walk around and feed him all day?

It takes some kids longer than others to develop physically. Kent came in around 200lbs and really needs to be up north of 225lbs to be effective in this league. He needs to be able to carry and maintain that weight. I wish I had the same problem.

As for Colin, it seems the injury bug has been his problem. He came in with a broken foot and then sprained the other one. It is unfortunate, but hopefully both these guys will be ready to play next year.

DJ is also having a problem gaining weight. Not sure why some of our players gain weight so slowly.

I mean I understand some guys are naturally skinny and have a hard time building bulk - like Corey Brewer. But Kent Taylor and DJ Humphries coming out of high school, while undersized, definitely have the frame to add a bunch of weight.

Those two had to gain like 50lbs they were severely underweight for their positions coming out of high school.

You or I could have made that play.... well at least I know I could.

No real talent is required when nobody even attempts to cover you ... just catch the ball and don't trip over any dust bunnies.

I think they do but I am sure Dillman could get around the testing. The dietitians give these kids milkshakes(work out shakes) before and after work outs. They also have those special eating tables twice a week. DJ said he was eating PBJ's a lot all off season to put on weight.

Exactly my point! It was a well designed play. Taylor had his hand on the ground. WR's flood left taking the LB's. He crosses to the right and catches the ball and trots easily into the endzone.

Its the truly perplexing thing about Pease. If it works, shelve it! If it doesn't - Burton wildcat, wear it out. Its like the guy is sabotaging his own career. I've never questioned a coaches ability this much in my 30 yrs of following gator football.

    Okay - I got you.

Sometimes I think Pease might over think things... and maybe has a little too much in the book for his own good and for the players to learn.

It's like when you get a huge menu and it makes it harder to order dinner... and maybe not all the items are executed at a high level.

Keep it simple and do it really well. I think we can do that, and still incorporate a lot of the formations and shifts he likes, and be very effective.

Meh, I think BP shows up to cook with no food, plate or utensils. I'll leave it at that so as to not get a warning.
