Accounted for appx. half of our yards from scrimmage today (74 out of 151) on only 12 plays. Bad day for the Gators, but excited about Kelvin.

    In Christ forever,

Then, he is mysteriously taken out of the game.

Why was Kelvin taken out after he scored their only offensive TD?

The announcers didn't understand it either when Florida went back out on their next possession. They commented that UF was so successful running it and then abandoned it.

This is one of the things that makes this coaching staff so frustrating. We find something that works, so we stop using it?

And it wasn't like we didn't know he was good, he had 8.6 YPC in the first game of the year and then sat for four games. Sure, it was just Toledo, but Mack Brown only got 4.5 YPC against them.

I seriously think everyone, casual fans, diehards, experts, etc., wondered the same thing. It is truly inexplicable.

And I love how he was pissed when they wanted to pull him out after he'd gotten the team down to the redzone. Stayed in and got and the TD.

KT has the "It Factor"....... He and VH3 are the 2 true freshmen that have really looked good this year. Maybe we should try playing a few more of them....?

KT deserves a bump. The one silver lining today needs some more posts.

    Great game by KT

KT should be the starter. I watched both him and Mack. No difference in pass pro quality. Therefore you go with who can run. That's Kelvin

Perhaps we value blocks more than points?

Yea points are not important to Muschamp. He hopes to score on st and defense. Want more time to throw the ball, how about put a TE in the game who can catch (Kent Taylor) to force a Lb to cover him. That takes away one of thm from running free at our Qb. He would never think to do that though cause he can't block so he will never see the field.

I really love Taylor's potential too, but I am concerned about how he's going to develop given the expectations around him on a currently below-par football team, especially as a RB, on a run-first team, with our current offensive Line.

When JD went down against Miami, seemingly every man and his dog was higher than the sky on Tyler Murphy as 'the man', who had been completely overlooked. The hype machine went into full blaze, the coaches were being piled on as poor talent evaluators and so on.

Now, not wishing to put it all on the kid (as we all know what kind of Oline is playing in front of him) but Tyler has gone 30-56 (53%) for 208yds, 0TDs and 1INT (and substantial loss of yards on the ground through sacks) in his past two games against good opposition. The hype that was built up wasn't realistic and probably a little unfair to Tyler himself.

KT is clearly a very talented back. But aren't we setting ourselves up for an almighty fall if we rush to do the same to him as we did to Murphy? Why not just let the kid play and develop without having to call him starter. Let him do his thing for more than two halves before we annoint him as the man because once that happens, there's no easy way of turning back. He will take his lumps and have bad games like anyone else but this is a true freshman we're talking about. We don't want to spoil this one's head and round here, it seems like many of us have a "1 strike and you're out" policy.

He might well be our best back, which means we should be giving him the ball more and more, but that doesn't mean we need to throw Mack Brown under the bus in doing so. Gator Nation's fixation on potential of 'the next guy' is suffocating at times. Let's just let the kid play and take his lumps, right?

He was likely taken out because he didn't know the rest of the playbook or staff didn't have more prepared with him in it.

Sadly, this was prophesied in the game thread before it happened. When people can call out the bone-headed-ness before it happens, that's a problem..

Taylor is too fast to play very much in this offense. We need slower running backs so we can increase our time of possession. We ran him 12 times against Missouri, and lost the TOP battle. If we only ran him six times in the game, we might have won the TOP. We need at least 35 minutes on offense to have a chance at winning the game. :)

This.......he has certain packages he is in on. I'm sure the staff will include him in on more from here on out.

I would like to dumb down the Playbook...just line up in I-form and simply run off-tackle. That's how you get freshman rb's snaps. Let them run in a formation they have ran there whole life.

    Sounds easy enough
