Was driving by the stadium early this week while they were holding softball camps. The outfield was threadbare with more dirt patches than grass. It looked terrible. Is this normal during June and July camps? Hope they re- sod before fall softball.

It looked fine during the teleast of the National Championship celebration a few weeks ago.

I'm sure it was torn up during the camps.

The grounds crew need a break too. Some people (not saying you) don't realize how hard of a job that is. It will be fine by Fall, trust me.

While we're talking about KSPS, I wouldn't be surprised if they started charging admission. In fact, I hope they do. $4 is what baseball charges. No reason why it shouldn't be the same. And I'm not saying this because of the natty. Coach Walton's fields a great team every year.

What a great hire. I knew he would bring a title home. I think he brings one more here before he leaves.

He's been here for almost nine years, who knows. Maybe he wants to move back to home to Cali. Or maybe Oklahoma. You're probably right though. Why would he leave, he's killing it here. Can't wait for next season!

Gator_84_88 you disagreed with my post? Do you disagree with my charging a fee comment, or what candyfanmanfromgc said? If it's about charging, I hope it stays free, but I would understand if they started charging. Look at Walton's W/L ratio, it's ridiculously lopsided. All he does is "win, win, win"! Lol

No no...all else is good. I just don't agree with Tim leaving Florida. Not to say it can't happen but he has come in and like Billy did, built a legacy. For what TW has done at UF that man deserves a statue. ANY national championship coach deserves one but if TW left for a school that has a rep for great coaches he is following them. Stay at UF and retire and coaches would be following HIS legacy.

UF really lucked out with TW. He could have been a baseball coach at any U. even in the MLB and been successful. That he even wound up at UF goes along with "the sky is BLUE and the sun is ORANGE."

Was by the stadium today and the grass is looking good. (about 80%). Spoke to the grounds crew people that do a terrific job. Turns out the problem was with the rye grass dying off and it took some of the Bermuda with it. They were adding sod where needed and it will be perfect again in a couple of weeks. The 6 new freshmen players will start working out Monday with the returning players back in another week. Looking forward to it.
