Yeah I totally agree. I mean I know the standards to get into UF have increased since I left but I never thought so many dorks would be there now. Justin Timberlake's mug all over our broadcast? Really?

I'm 32 and it reeks of desperation to get attention. We don't need help in that department.

Agree, why wouldn't you want JT on your campus? That would be awesome if he showed up to my campus.

For some reason, I thought the students wanted Justin Beiber to sing the ?national anthem? I mean, would there really be a difference between JT & JB? :p

College students get worked up over intense communal efforts to achieve silly, unlikely goal. Film at 11.

The woman who sang the anthem tonight was pretty good.

Maybe they could sample all of that guy's songs and assemble a version.

Heck, I thought some of those pictures were Eminem (I was at the game, not watching on TV). Having him would be über cool

If this is true, it makes me wonder if the UAA knows something and there is really something to this. They don't seem like the bunch to just randomly start up this campaign.

I love JT I hope it happens but think it is unlikely.

Glad someone brought this up. Was wondering the same thing.

But I'm an oldie that says Heck yeah, that would be great to get JT. He is a-list all the way. If he is already in the area it COULD happen. And that would be pretty gnarly, tubular, hot, cool, da bomb, etc.

If the UAA helped facilitate this, you have to wonder if they know something the rest of us don't.

Having JT sing the anthem would be huge. Biggest national anthem performance at a Gator game since Jimmy Buffett did it before the USC game in 1982.

These are my feelings as well. The stuff he's done in those lonely island videos is hilarious if you can stomach the rather juvenile humor.

First off, Justin Timberlake is one of the coolest guys in music/showbiz. I love the guy.

But this is like those high school girls making videos for random celebrities to take them to prom. Does JT have any connection to UF at all?

I probably couldn't pick Timberlake out of a lineup but if it makes the students and most of the fans happy that would be good.

I do think he is funny and very talented.
But it seems like such a strange effort. . . .clamoring for a celebrity to sing the anthem at your basketball game???? It is very odd.
