Went to see what was going on. I put in a fake name age address and dob within 10 minutes some one was calling me from Ft Lauderdale wanting my personal information. I told him I was not interested at this time and hung up.

I did find out I can get a 1,500.00 ded with a 40.00 co pay with Humana for $750.00 mo for just me Not very cheap and affordable

That's is only 10,500 a year out of your pocket a year, before anything is paid by the insurance. Premium plus deductible.

What young single can afford that in this Obama economy? Adults 26 and under can hide in their parents insurance, but over that, the only sane option for the consumer is to ignore the mandate, pay the fine-tax, and if she does get seriously ill, demand someone insure them.

Yes, to reduce it from genuinely obscene to merely noticeably more expensive.

I got quotes for a family of 4 for $1,000 a month with a $20,000 deductible for the family.
I found nothing that was better than my BCBS plan that we have now. Another interesting
Tidbit is my BCBS of Florida plan has increased the monthly premiums 50% since 2011.
This is not going to save anybody money , it is only going to insure people that did not or
could not get or pay for health insurance.

I have never seen higher insurance prices available to myself before, usually by a factor of two or more, since and because of this law.

these are prices before ACA in full effect. Right now they are simply hoping to get suckers to buy a policy(at high price) before ACA fully kicks in.

looks like a number of insurance companies are like vultures right now hoping to hook some suckers who won't wait til competition between insurance companies is in effect .When other companies are actually competing with each other instead of sucker prices they can still charge right up until ACA kicks in fully.

as to how insurance companies are getting your phone number....If you think Big govt taps into you secretly.....The insurance companies are far more into getting info about people because it means more money for the company

as it is right now in Fla----Chances are insurance companies(even ones you are not a customer) have more info about your medical records than you do(unless you got a court order to have hospitals, doctors, etc release all your medical info to you). Don't trust me on this---check with some people you know who are attorneys, etc with knowledge of medical system in Fla.

BTW---the probably obtained your phone number via info related to your IP address.

that insurance companies were able to get your phone number despite your doing things anonymously(via bogus name, etc, etc) should point out to you just how much more influence insurance companies(and corporations in general) have with Washington DC and state govts than you, me, and other everyday people.

and yet, people want to trust corporations instead of the govt. On many things the two are one and the same.

And since Obama waived verification of income, just tell them you make $20 k a year and all of your neighbors and fellow taxpayers will pay the tab for you.

Get em hooked on government subsidized health care. Yeah, that's it.

The Florida insurance exchange won't be showing plan or cost information until October 1st.

What website did you go to?
