I'm not the one claiming to represent the fan base. That would be you.

Where exactly did I claim to represent the fan base? I didn't. I just gave what my take is on how the fan base will react. I stand by my assessment.

Why is everything either/or? I *think* that things will turn around, although I do question the O-line. This has been a problem under two different head coaches and three O-line coaches so I think that is a legitimate question. It's the incessant power whining by some posters (Bobby Petrino as our head coach, please) that gets tiresome.

I'm a Pumper, and I enjoy reading well-thought out criticism on what is going on with the team. But there is a difference between analyzing and complaining.

    Raises hand.

If that means we are two years away from a national title...then I'm on board. No new coach will win one sooner.

Will Muschamp is our coach. I like that fact and will support him until the wheels fall off.

If he goes 10-2 or 11-1 or 12-0 (and loses in Atlanta) he's safe as can be.
He will need to lose more than 3 games this year and next to be in any trouble.

I think Will is the coach here for years to come and he (like Saban) will eventually become a perennial winner....providing we don't run him off.

OK....I just think you are decidedly in the minority on this. I do not see anybody being able to last that long at UF without ever playing in Atlanta and if we don't beat our rivals with at least some regularity in 4 years.

OK...now your loosening your position. Losing to our rivals and failing to win a division is a little different than not winning a championship...as you claimed above. A division win is not a championship.

Also 11-1 with a loss to Georgia will not get him fired.

If he gets to Atlanta either year he is safe....championship or not.

I'm not saying he's gotta win a national title. I'm not saying he's gotta win an SEC title. But I do think he's gotta win a Division title...and I don't think he can afford to get blanked by our rivals either. The Gator nation would not accept 1-3 vs fsu 0-1 vs scUM and 0-4 vs UGA. They just wouldn't.

He'll get a 4th year almost no matter what...and he should to be honest. Next year we will have a very veteran squad, all the other outstanding veteran QB's in the league will be gone, the key games (Missouri, South Carolina) are at home while the WLOCP is in Jax. That said, we have got to win at least the division next year with so many things breaking our way.

I read the pinned 'trolls' thread by gator gal. No demeaning terms to be used. It's pretty clear.

Cool. Then I take it we will not be seeing terms like "Whiny" or "crybaby" again.

You're making it sound like your name calling was quid pro quo. I never used any of those terms, yet you were quick to label me a SP.

I never said you specifically used those terms. I retract the SP label....though the behavior of attacking anybody who questions any of the coaching decisions or strategy or anybody who says there should be any kind of standards of accountability is the same as what was discussed earlier in the thread.

I never said you said I used those terms. I said, "you're making it sound like..."

I, for one, have not attacked anybody for speaking out against the coaches. I understand that there would be some frustration right now; I'm feeling it just the same. I just told you not to speak as if you represent the fanbase (or even majority thereof). Neither of us knows what the majority opinion is right now. In the absence of broader information, at least as many people on this thread disagree with your ultimatim - that's undeniably what it is - as agree with it.
