If true, this is because Obama's economy sucks so bad, young families have to move in with their parents. So Obama is a loser on 2 accounts.

I believe the US ranks in the top three of all nations for gun violence. Take away Detroit, Chicago, NO and DC and we're fourth from the bottom.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, some ignorant, but the facts are the facts and no one is entitled to their own, although some on here will try to cloud the picture or as I would suggest be genuinely dishonest.

No doubt, but this is probably true for any country. Take away places Rio, Sao Paulo, Maceio, and insanely murderous Brazil probably drops as well.

so if we eliminate densely populated areas that tend to be very fiscally and socially liberal we significantly reduce gun violence.....interesting

Not in the last 10 years they haven't. They have doubled.

    http://usopenborders.com/2012/02/arms-sales-doubled-in-the-united-states-in-the-last-10-years-fbi/

“Never have so many weapons been in the possession of U.S. civilians as today. The fact is the rate of crimes are at the lowest point in our live time and the number of accidents that have resulted in deaths by firearms has never been so low, “said Lawrence Keane Reform, Legal Vice National Foundation Shooting Sports (NSSF, for its acronym in English), an organization that brings together most of the country’s arms manufacturers.

Mother Jones be lying to ya brah.

Funny how as the increase in gun ownership decreases the crime rate. Why don't you show me where the article agrees with MotherJones River.

And if we eliminate sparsely populated areas that tend to be very fiscally and socially conservative, we significantly decrease poverty...interesting? :)

You know better than that, Gr8t. There are many factors associated with cities vs. rural areas.

Sort of does a number on the notion that poverty is the dominant root cause of crime, if you slap both those premises together. So much for redistribution of wealth as the vehicle of 'social justice'!
