Does anyone know the details of what happened? The timing could not be worse, since we are headed into the heat of recruiting season ...

What is Haskins going to do? I am sure there is somebody in the office who can set up official visits for the FSU game. The staff is talking to all the targets weekly

I saw several posters on other sites saying he was fired, but they aren't verifiable and could just be blowing smoke.

    Don't bother following that link.

In the world of business, everyone resigns. Often "to spend time with their family." Or to "pursue their passions."

    Maybe he did resign. Dunno.

Yeah, but the timing is strange. Sudden moves this time of year are almost never mutually decided.

Timing is strange is putting it mildly. I guess I'm not exactly sure of the scope of his job.

If it's that simple then why did we have him? Why waste money on his employment? Of course were gonna have someone set up officials but why do u make it seem like it's no big deal?

I'm sure it has some impact, but I honestly have not heard anything about the position in the past.

That doesn't make it meaningless, obviously, but if it is indeed administrative in nature, I can see it being any easy blow to weather.

My opinion which certainly could be wrong is this timing is fine. We are at a very manageable number of 2014 prospects we are recruiting right now. They know all these kids very very well. This position is probably more important in the spring when you have a ton of prospects on your board and you are sending coaches out all over the place. Or during the summer when we are getting kids to camps. It is just an administrative potions and it is not like he was in the office by himself.

Worst thing that could probably happen is we forget to invite some 2015 or 2016 kid to the FSU game

He got in trouble for setting up too many recruits for the FSU game.
    I kid, I kid.

No one has said it yet?

    Ok I will.

He's resigning to go spend time with Urban Meyer's family.

Georgia gets by without a ST coach so maybe we can do without this coach and use the money to buy recruits?:)

He was scheduling too many offensive linemen for visits.
