The rendering in post 13/14 is a different design from post 1 (8 cable suspension posts vs. 4). From the story, it did not seem that they were in a phase where multiple designs were still being considered.

The design with only a sliver of clear top does appear like it'd be much better shade for fans in the seats rather than just the concourses as the design in post 1. Also, the seats and other structures under the video boards appear to be removed compared to post 1 design. Post 13/14 certainly looks like a better design for shade and airflow.

If they insure it, which they'd have to for financing, it will be rated past the highest winds of a hurricane.

A banner with a huge Gator helmet on it is going to look great hanging under that roof some January!

You are a thousand per-cent right! The NFL doesn't have owners anymore, and certainly for decades now, like Joe Robbie was! To be begin with, and get this, Joe Robbie was an NFL owner who actually listened to his fan base and made important decisions after hearing what they had to say. When the Dolphins needed to leave the Orange Bowl and have a new stadium, he didn't pout and threaten the local Dade County taxpayers that they had better pay to build a new stadium for him or he would move his team elsewhere! And not only build him that stadium but give him total control over it and what events could take place there. A complete 180 from the Glaziers and their Tampa Bay Bucs in Hillsborough County!

I could go on a lot more about Joe Robbie. Glad I got to meet him a few times when I worked for NWA at MIA in Miami.
