Has us as a two seed, and Kansas as a one seed in his latest bracket. Keeping in mind that we beat Kansas handily, and we have two losses (they have four).

    Um... What?

Not gonna lie... I wanna stay away from the West region (Zona in Phoenix).. KU would be next on my teams to avoid.. They're going to be very battle tested with lots of weapons..

Well, they're looking at the conference as a whole being down..even though our RPI is really good, when we beat Kentucky twice and keep rolling, we'll move up to a one seed before it's over with.

The national media is in love with the star players. We are probably the least talked about team in the top 10. That said, there is a lot of ball left to be played.

Right now, we're on track for a #2 seed. If we win the SEC Tournament, we'll be a #1 seed.

Currently, Kansas has the #1 RPI and #2 BPI. This must be how other football conferences feel when 1 loss SEC teams are still mentioned over undefeated teams for the BCS title game. :)

Their schedule puts them there end of the year loss to us or not as long as they only lose one or two more. Really haven't seen someone play that kind of schedule in a long time it's absolutely insane.

Its a projection for the end of the year. I think Kansas will be much better than UF by year-end.

lunardi's isnt't. It's if the season ended today. He's using some other rating system he's made up. Which has wisconsin ranked like #2 overall and fsu ahead of us. I don't put a lot stock in ratings that come up with that.

In the end it doesn't matter because we're a really good team and I'm not worried about us playing anyone. They can put as a 16 seed for all I care, it'll be the first time #1 seed lost the opening game

Top 50 wins for both teams according to KenPom (H=home, A=away, N=neutral):

    UF: 21 FSU (H), 9 KU (H), 42 Arky (A)
    Kansas: 12 Duke (N), 43 OU (A), 38 KSU (H), 20 ISU (A), 11 OkSU (H), 41 Baylor (H)

They do have more losses that Florida, but they've certainly played a tougher schedule (KenPom #2 vs UF #40) and come away with more quality wins as well (6 vs UF 3).

Yes, much better. They have 3 lottery picks we have 1 sitting on our bench. Recruiting is half the battle in college basketball.

These things are such shots in the dark. You can't take too much from them. Personally, I do suspect that Kansas ends up with a higher seed. I mean, have you seen the run they are on right now? Pretty impressive. However, given their terrible guard play, I think we are a better bet to make a run. You can't play Wiggins at the point.

except we have 4 senior starters that have played in 3 consecutive elite 8s.

Will the "lottery picks" be able to overcome that experience and passion in March? I doubt it!

I'll take experience all day long. I'll take our team over theirs at the end of the year. Recruiting? Never heard of it.

Betting against any single team is a good bet, but I'm not so sure about your predictive model. Last year Florida had three seniors and four juniors that had been to back to back elite 8s, and to whom did they lose? A team dominated by freshmen, who hadn't seen the second weekend of the NCAA tourney in almost 20 years.
