Haha, cute. The only reason Quay was committed to Bama is Trey was going there. The good news if that if he visits he will see he can play at UF. Bama's roster is more difficult. Great size coming in. I hope we get him.

Quay Walker, Justyn Ross and Xavier Peters are nice recruits to get on Campus.

Even given the really limited number of 4-5* kids left unsigned now, when you look down any list, the Gators are warm with a good number of those in the limited positions of need, OLine, WR, LB & CB. Limited number of DLinne, however, but those are always in short supply, unless, of course, you're Bama.

WR Tommy Bush will also be great on campus.

I've read somewhere that he does have grade issues. A couple other posters mentioned it too.

Sounds as if some of the upcoming weekends' visits are firming up. Does anyone have a decently accurate summary?

Miller and Peters played well last night. Miller very disruptive. Don't think I ever heard Walker's name. (injured?)
Dean's a playa. Pitts made a nice catch but Jordan (from Bishop Gorman) , a Cane signee looks like the real deal.
Kid Hill hot dogged some but made a great pursuit play to force a fumble and regain possession. Gatewood and the qb recruit to UCLA also looked excellent.

Walker didn't do much , got beat on the td pass to the rb. Don't take much from these games but he wasn't active like Peters

I took the liberty of adding 247 crystal ball predictions in attached post and I've highlighted them in bold. Given the most recent info, conversations and such I don't believe alot of projections above are accurate. Alot has happened since 247 last updated their CBs.

I.e., with everything Jacob Copeland has said lately about Bama and fsu one could assume those 2 are all but out of it. UFshould be 80/85% favored vs the field.

Watkins is closer to 85% than 70.

Alot has been said about quay walker in the last week. Trey Dean feels very good about walker being a gator. Along with his recent stop over in Gainesville. There are positive signs pointing toward UF.

Justyn Ross is a long shot.

    Silvera is all cane unfortunately.

Noah Jefferson should be closer to 90% UF

Langham seems like a long shot too.

Coynis Miller is a high probabilityof being a gator as of recent happenings

Griffin said last week that Tennessee is his leader. He's one of my favorite recruits and would love to have him but if he doesn't stay home at USC then he'll probably be a vol. It's a shame because we need a talent like him.

Obviously there are others I could rant about but it's too much work!

Good work Not and thanks also Minne. I'm feeling very good about Miller for now. We are still a month away. If we start backing off other DT that would be a better sign something is in the works.

    Thanks man.

I'm not 100% certain how large our DTs will have to be within the new system but Dorian Gerald is already 6'3" 260 but if he puts on 30 lbs would he stay at DE/LB?

He's a kid we really could use. He has a lot of talent. Another huge pickup is Noah Jefferson. He's already 6'6" 330 lbs. Wow. Imagine him next to Slaton or Clark.

Another kid I wish was still solid to UF is Andrew Chatfield. IMO, he'd have such tremendous opportunity to succeed as a #1 pass rusher. I hate that he'll probably wind up at Miami.

All good points as usual coming from you. Here's my extra to each.
I watched Dorian Gerald's JuCo video and saw a man among boys with him at DE. I especially liked the first 2 plays that he decleated the QBs. Nasty take downs. He had good moves and some quickness, not sure SEC quickness but decent.
I see Jefferson as a replacement for Desir-Jones. If he is gone then we have no juniors at DT for 2018. As you know most of our depth are sophomores.
On Chatfield, yes I'm with you. I keep hoping we get some better news on AC especially since he is another American Heritage kid. Not good we might only get one this year after the nice haul there last year.

Good stuff. I was really hoping that we'd get more than one American Heritage kid too. Seemingly half the team are All Stars. Not only all stars but ELITE, blue chip studs that we should've cashed in on. I get it. Dan's been here a month and didn't have a whole lot of time to win them over. But surprisingly im ok with it because I'm 100% confident in Dan Mullen and I know he'll make inroads to improve our situation 12 months from now. I haven't felt this eternally optimistic since my Bromance arrived in Gainesville in 2005.

Damn, I didn't realize we may have ZERO Jr DTs if Desir-jones doesn't return. I'm surprised we haven't heard anything re: the credit card kids.

I need to take a look at Geralds film again. I don't have a great feeling about landing him but in case we do I'd like to be able to say I saw his film due to matherly87's astute eye. Lol

Astute, now that's a new one. With Luke Ancrum playing backup at both inside and outside last year it was easily missed the possibility of no juniors at DT this year. Ancrum will not be a DT in the 3/4, very doubtful anyway.
As far as CC kids I don't expect anything until Spring ball starts because someone will finally have to do something by then. Before that we will have to read between the tea leaves on who we sign on NSD to give us some guess what to expect.
