NJ government lawyers making Holder proud.

    From the link:

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for New Jersey collected more than $120 million in the fiscal year 2013 from criminal prosecutions, civil lawsuits and asset forfeiture actions, far outstripping its operating budget of about $31 million, U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman’s office announced yesterday.

The $120 million, Fishman’s office said, is made up of $45.2 million collected from criminal prosecutions, $12.6 million gained from civil actions, and $62.4 million collected in asset forfeiture actions, although the forfeiture-action amount comes from work Fishman’s office did with partnering agencies and divisions on forfeiture cases.

Meanwhile, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has announced that the Justice Department hauled in about $8.1 billion in civil and criminal actions in the 2013 fiscal year, Fishman also said yesterday.

The $8.1 billion is nearly three times the appropriated $2.76 billion budget for the 94 U.S. Attorney’s offices and the main litigating divisions of the Justice Department in that same period, Fishman said.
