Over the last few days their have been lots of discussion about our offense, lack of play making, driskel, coaching.... whatever your opinion of what the issue's are, those are your opinions and you are entitled to them. however at what point do you guys think that freshman like fulwood, robinson, and taylor start getting more looks and chances to be in play making situations. in my opinion it does not look good for future recruits to see guys that are 4/5 stars coming out of highschool, and not getting the ball. when other schools are featuring freshman every saturday, how does that make us look? I hope that we start giving these guys more reps, but i just don't see a scenario where that happens... what do you guys think

Not exactly correct. At the big boy schools that compete for titles every year in their conferences and nationally, and we all know who they are, freshmen almost never play. The only exceptions being when you have someone really special, like Percy was for us. These recruits know that if they commit to a school like ours, they have to wait their turn and not just because there are other players ahead of them. The jump from high school to college is not dis-similar to the jump from college to the NFL. There are more players that are bigger, stronger and faster than anything most of these kids have seen before except for the 1 or 2 ex exceptions on a high school team. The game is that much faster and more complicated than anything they've seen and all of that takes time to adjust to. And unlike the NFL, the kids are still learning the game to some degree in college so you don't want to just throw someone out to the wolves just to see them struggle.

Just for the record I was a pretty offensive freshman myself. What can I say, I was happy to get out of the house.

I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to all those offended by my antics.

Henry had 1 carry for -3 yards. He's 4th on the depth chart behind Yeldon. Tenpenny and Dee Hart based on carries in that game.
Kelvin has 5 for 43 yards. So... What's the point about Henry playing again?

Exactly why you choose the right coach to begin with.

Correct, but these kids seem to be more game ready than ever...

sophisticated offenses, weight room work, coaching, etc are all on another level compared to 10 years ago.

As I say keep giving Patton the ball more, guy can ball. It is about time the coaches, and himself have come around to figure it out.
