Like I said...
He certainly has the poorest leadership skills of any president in my lifetime.
As bad as Carter was he at least seemed engaged but was a horrible micro manager.
Bush 2 was awful but no one ever questioned whether he wanted to be Prez.
I honestly think Obama felt that he could speech make his way to success rather than actually consensus build. Boy was he wrong. He'd clearly rather campaign than govern.
I doubt Obama is the worst president in history. Many of the opinions here have been strongly influenced by partisan media outlets, which only gained traction during the last few presidential terms (spanning a whopping 2-3 presidents).
Certainly not the worst but definitely among the botom.
To answer the OP's question.....YES.
Worst POTUS ever:
1) Barack Obama
2) Jimmy Carter
I don't know about worst of all time but I do know that Jimmy Carter goes to bed with a smile on his face these days.
Without a doubt... He was never qualified to hold this office.
Carter almost financially destroyed this country. Even saying that BO is BY FAR the worst ever.
Obviously protect your computer however you like, but zerohedge is a very reputable site. Not every article itself is great, but the website as a whole is tremendous.
Ok, I will play. Name 1 prez in our history that has almost doubled our debt and unemployment that has been over 7 percent since day one of his administration. I will be waiting.
Yes of course he's the worst ever. He's the current president.
I mean, we all remember the lack of divisiveness during the James Buchanan, Millard Fillmore, and Franklin Pierce eras, right? And clearly you wouldn't find corruption in the Ulysses's S Grant or Warren Harding administrations. We are definitely all keeping that in mind. And I don't even need to bring up John Tyler with all "Was John Tyler the worst president ever?" threads we've had on here recently. We've definitely made all the possible pairwise comparisons.
Is that really how we measure our presidents, using a few economic indicators at the exact time of their presidency? If you want to find relative increases in debt, look at any president during a war or economic crash. The biggest increase was probably overseen by Abraham Lincoln.
So if we want to you use your ranking, the worst presidents likely were: (1) Abraham Lincoln, (2) Woodrow Wilson, (3) Herbert Hoover, (4) FDR, (5) Barack Obama and James Madison.
[pulling a page from rivergator's playbook] So, you didn't bother reading the link either?
I would have voted for Carter but with Obamacare I have to give the worst president award to Obama. The damage he is doing to the country will live long after he is gone.
Obama is certainly in the top five. I'd put him #1 for his complete hatred of what this country stands for and his continued abuse of power.
It's mostly a subjective opinion but I imagine he would rank as one of the most disingenuous presidents/politicians we've ever had. Good campaigning skills, but poor at leading & working with others.
My only prediction is that unlike the previous president, he won't be persona non grata within his own party that you'd rather not associate with in 2016 and beyond. That won't answer the question definitively, but it should tell you something about the segment of people who think he's terrible.
Whether it's W, Obama, or anyone else, I don't see how a "best/worst ever" ranking can be assigned until a POTUS has been out of office for quite a while (as in decades).
Oh sure, Ho's love other Ho's, and Ho worship will continue at the feet of El Jefe long after his tenure is done.
And if BO can pass the burned-out wick of a torch to Hilly in the worship camp, oh what a happy day that will be.
For the Ho's.
