    It's not like it wasn't a reason.

Just watch America: World Police about 10 times. All of your questions will be answered.

His two boys were worse. Far worse.

Blah. blah blah. Too bad we weren't all born with crystal balls up our arses.

At least we had some sort of game plan for Iraq. WTF are we exactly doing in Afghanistan other than getting our troops killed? Look at the number of dead, something we conveniently stopped counting. Dangerously close to what we lost in Iraq. Oh, but Afghanistan is the "just" war. I forgot.

And in the Middle East, they still eat each other.

From what I've heard the relationship between W and HW was pretty strained.

I think a better explanation was that W allowed others to talk him into the plan and he thought he could do something his father didn't do during his presidency all the while not realizing his father had very good reasons for not ousting Saddam.

And quite a powerful argument could be made for the Iraqis' to continue to expend their cannibalistic appetite on each other until done, rather than expending it on us.

It's been a while since this occurred, but the evidence from "non-US media" was that this came from Iran, not Saddam.

That shell casing looks pretty conveniently placed. Actually the whole thing looks staged. They should have done a better job with make up. Where is Holywood or at least Bollywood when you need them?

Iraq itself recognizes that the previous regime executed those ruthless attacks. The evidence is overwhelming. Implying that the media (of whatever nation) is behind false or exaggerated reports is akin to Holocaust Denial in terms of intellectual dishonesty and self-deception.

Are you saying the US media is incapable of intellectual dishonesty? Hello?????

You and I concur on this. I actually think toward the end he regretted it. But he (smartly) would never admit as much. However, it seemed his relationship with Dick and Dick was rather chilly toward the end.

Yes, but how easily you forget. According to Dick & Dick (and their "intelligence" sources) it was going to be like the liberation of Paris circa 1944. (wishing they had a face-palm icon).

Please note that the US government supplied Saddam Hussein with weapons and chemicals in his war against Iran and the Kurds. This was well known years prior to our infamous Gulf War invasion.

You don't think our media might whip up a propaganda campaign against Saddam any chance they got? Whether he was guilty of it or not, he would get blamed.

The Nazis got blamed for every atrocity in WWII, even if they had a little help from us or the soviets.

And yes, that photo looks a little staged. If it was a video, you'd probably hear "cut" and the bodies would get up and walk away. :)

Saddam used chemical weapons on Kurdish targets in norther Iraq multiple times in the late 80s. That is well established and widely reported internationally as well has here.
