After we win this Saturday (and we will DEFINITELY win), it will be 9 straight. Somewhere at UT there is a student who went through 4 years of undergrad, completed their masters in two years and is polishing off that PhD this academic year. All the while, not one time as a student did this poor student ever celebrate a win over the Gators throughout his or her long academic career.

Many PhDs take four or more years. Depending upon the PhD program, this student will likely go 10/11 years without experiencing a victory against the Gators.

I hope we do beat Tennessee. But if we hold true to our HC's beliefs, we will keep them close and they will have a chance. We should blow them out, but with what we saw the first two weeks, I just have to believe it will get better.

I like our chances. Heard they lost another DT to injury, and they are sitting another starting DT because of the pay scandal. That, with the facts that they traveled across country, got their butt kicked, and have to travel to Gainesville to play a team coming off a miserable loss and an extra week of rest -- sets up well for the Gators.

Dude ... I appreciate the optimism, but have you not been paying attention? This is a team with real issues on offense.

It's not optimism. It's realism. This game will not be close. My rationale is the same one as the one stated a few posts above this one by Colin. It will not be close.

I only say it when I mean it. Let the record show, I never said we'd beat Miami. I abstained from picking. I only call it if I have a real feeling about it. This one will NOT be close.

Not to mention all those degrees from UT would maybe help this poor student get a job managing a Waffle House when they are finally ready to join the workforce.

I'm going to make the same prediction for this game that I made for the Miami game:

    Gators 37 UT 17

I'm older, out of shape. Know thyself. Might be the best I can do at this point.

So are we moving on to the "we will lose stuff" already? I mean if it works, it works ...

    To expect a W, fine...to expect a blowout with our offense....silly.
