The stupid Dems and Pubs in congress aren't that smart at foreseeing this problem after they're out of office. The Pubs are just like the Dems on certain issues that buy votes, live for the vote and we'll sell our sovereignty down to road just to get re-elected.

    Both sides are pathetic.

The problem is easy to fix... just enforce the laws already on the books... ones that Obama seems to have obfuscated so bluntly, unnoticed and easily forgotten in congress.

The Hispanic community is not going to vote for a Pub because of this matter. It's not even in their top 3 biggest concerns, yet the Dems and the Propaganda machine in media have convinced the Pubs that this is their number one concern. If the Pubs new the truth they wouldn't be so afraid to put some real teeth into a new bill.

Message to Pubs in congress: 'Grow a set you pansies!'

No, they're just short sighted and greedy politicians. The Dems are the "commie" that are pushing for 'nanny state'. I see no such push by the pubs in general.

But, carry-on with you're misguided rant.

Most of the ‘problems’ with immigration could be solved by enforcing current legislation and updating guest worker visa programs.

Also, why aren’t we putting more pressure on Mexico? There is a reason we don’t have 11M illegal Canadians in our country. Their nation has an economy. The largest concentration of Canadian immigrants can be found in the NHL.

Most of the Canadians found in Florida go back after the winter months. In the mean time
they leave a lot of money & if there is a Canadian drug cartel, I haven't heard of it.

so if we just put pressure on Mexico, its economy would blossom and there'd be no need for anyone to look for work elsewhere?
    Boy, that sounds easy.

They'd just multiply like flies on a dead carcass and come in droves even faster.

Could have meant to pressure them to stop, as a matter of state, encouraging people to enter the US illegally and commit entitlement fraud and employment fraud in order to send money bzck to Mexico.

    Ah, true, he didn't.

Still an utterly valid point, though. Let's put pressure on Mexico to stop encouraging illegal immigration and criminal abuse of our entitlement system and employment laws. Let's put pressure on our own government to do the same, too.

Moc isn't wrong with Mexico being a craphole, though. "A narco-terrorist enterprise with a sovereign state as a minor subsidiary" I read it described. Sadly accurate.

Are you saying it's a misguided rant to misuse words like "commie" and "socialist"? Really? I don't believe you.

Heard man from Heritage Foundation say it's $500,000+ per illegal grandfathered or nine trillion dollars to US taxpayers over their lifetimes. Was interesting because Cato Institute was there to debate and present a side which depicts their legalization is revenue neutral and overall good to have these new Americans working and multiplying the economy.

Two things Heritage maintained that were not refuted(as I saw it) is that the cost $500,000+ is inaccurate or that illegals are revenue neutral. The person from the Caito Institute also maintained that people with 10th grade education or less are responsible for economic growth, not the other way around as Heritage asserts. Heritage seems to believe highly skilled workers are the key to growth. If Caito is correct they should also advocate an additional 15-20 million from a mix of countries other than Mexico/Latin America for balance and some serious expansion. Wondering why other countries don't just let unskilled labor legalize by the millions if it creates, on its own, such robust, revenue neutral growth.

Another thing Caito said which was intriguing is that when Reagan pardoned some four million(?) illegals only 40 percent became citizens, and this bill has higher standards for today's illegals to accomplish. Therefore, don't expect all the millions to achieve citizenship. What he was basically saying is this bill, in whatever form, will leave around least eight million of the current estimated 11 million- which I believe is low- still in the same position they are now- a net drain.

This debacle apparently cleared its test vote, so it will be up to the House. I am not actually all that confident, either. The RNC just allows the Democrats to define their agenda and message too completely. They may bow up and surprise me, but you will probably get it past with a Democrat led bipartisan majority.

    Deflect, deflect.

The Dems and Obama are acting just like commies... I don't see the Tea Party pubs trying to control our every waking moment of life like the Dems.

You don't believe the truth that's right there before you. To deny the obvious truth is just dishonest.

The problem and the people are already here, how we deal with it and future events is why we need a solution.

Maybe you should have asked him to clarify it, then?
Naw, that would an adult way to handle it.
