Their offense is bad. I know they nearly beat us but if they had an offense they would be really tough. Just a talented bunch who are not working together still.

UK has been on auto-pilot this year. All Calipari does is make excuses for his team on account of their youth. Very little development across the board, though. They run no semblance of his DDO, his kids don't seem to add skills, and there is no rotation of which to speak at the one through three.

UK played well today, but when you get a third crack at a team that beat you on your own floor and only a week earlier blew you out on their home court, it is much easier to be competitive. We saw the same thing from Tennessee. But were it not for their familiarity with us, our foul troubles, and their appreciable advantage at the line, this game would not have been close. I find it ironic that Donovan talked to the guys about getting off to a fast start, only to see us get off to a fast start and lose that advantage down the stretch. So it goes.

Obviously not all their fans had them on but I couldn't help but laugh when I was at the UK UGA game and saw them wearing the "tweaked" shirts. That's when I knew it was all over for the rest of the field.

Well have to at least give some props to that Cauley-Stein kid. Every time I watch him, he plays well. Not so much the rest of the games I guess.

I know it's hate-UK-at-all-costs around here, but I think those kids really grew up this season.

They did play better this past week... at least from an effort and "heart" standpoint. With their athleticism, that goes a long way.

I'm not necessarily "proud" of them, as I have no reason to be. But I will take time away from my rage at the refs, to take my hats off to them. They did bring it when they could have easily curled up and and faded away. Sure we helped them by not making our FTs, but they did take advantage of the "adversity on the court" and had a chance in the end.

Uk will have to by KSU first.(and that's not a given). I also believe that Wichita St has a real good chance to beat Ky which would tickle me to death.:)

They did well today. A lot more poise than last game. And I like Calipari and Kentucky fans too, except for the ones at Rupp Rafters. I understand the officiating for the SEC tourney was all around horrid, that Maymon shouldn't have been issued a T yesterday, and UF should've made their FTs, BUT Kentucky made 18 FGs and 21 FTs. A lot of their come back was due to bad fouls on UF's part and maybe 2 blocks that I felt were goaltending.

The fact that we outrebounded them (which surprised me), shot better, and had more steals doesn't lead me to believe they've made as large an improvement as many think they have made these past few days.

I've always liked him. Somehow Cal doesn't think he deserves to start, but as a rim protector, offensive rebounder, and finisher he is far more consistent and effective than anyone on that team, including Randle.
