    Illinois Visits Dewayne Hendrix

The four-star O’Fallon, Illinois native currently has received offers from the Tennessee Volunteers, California Golden Bears, Florida Gators, Kansas State Wildcats, USC Trojans, Cincinnati Bearcats, Illinois Fighting Illini, Indiana Hoosiers, Iowa Hawkeyes, Iowa State Cyclones, Kansas Jayhawks, Michigan State Spartans, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Missouri Tigers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Northern Illinois Huskies, Ohio State Buckeyes, Ole Miss Rebels, South Florida Bulls, Syracuse Orange, and Vanderbilt Commodores.

Out of all of his offers, the Tennessee Volunteers seem to be at the top of the pack. The 247 Sports Crystal Ball currently has the Vols as a 100% predicted spot to land the 2014 recruit.

Although, Cal, Florida, Kansas State, and Southern Cal are the other four teams right behind Tennessee.

When it comes to all of Hendrix’s skills, 247 Sports has them all at 7 or above, however, his best skill is easily his frame (listed at a 9).

Hendrix stands tall at 6’5″ and weighs 255 pounds. When it comes to this recruit, coaches can teach him how to have a quicker first step or how to pursue the quarterback. The one thing they can’t teach is size and frame and Dewayne Hendrix has plenty of that.

Hendrix used to live in Memphis and has told some people that he grew up a Tennessee fan. Tifwiw.

O'Fallon is part of metro St. Louis. Mizzou does well in those parts, but UF has been snooping around in recent years, mostly at Edwardsville HS. We were going after that big NT there a year or two ago, and signed an OL four or five years ago. What was his name? He must have graduated or transferred.

    Rivals 250 Features Big Movers

Big jumps began right after the top 100 with O'Fallon, Ill., strongside defensive end Dewayne Hendrix moving up 128 spots to No. 103. Hendrix's performance at the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour event in St. Louis paid huge dividends for the 6-foot-4, 264-pound prospect.

"The St. Louis RCS was our first chance to see Hendrix live," Rivals.com Midwest analyst Josh Helmholdt said. "We loved his film, but he exceeded even our lofty expectations in winning defensive line MVP. There are few weaknesses in Hendrix's game. He can rush the passer with speed and agility, and he has the size and strength to hold up in run defense as well."
