No mention of Sebring raceway? I loved going there to watch races.
See above, "Pistons and Props" was just there. Historic Sportscar Racing plus vintage airplanes.
SCCA had a National event at Sebring over Thanksgiving weekend.
FIA WEC (World Endurance Championship) returns to Sebring in 2019 for a 1500 mile race. This starts ( STARTS! ) at midnight, 2 hours after the IMSA 12Hours finishes. They're going to need more corner marshals.
I've always been surprised that the WRC doesn't have a leg in the US. I'd think the south or western US could provide a great venue while also promoting the series.
Red Bull GRC had races at Daytona in 2015 & 2016. They were live on NBC tv. Ken Block was in the first race.
Those guys are rough on their cars
Don't know how I missed that. Thanks.
KB is a great driver.
His Gymkhanas are freaking fun to watch.
My city ughh damn near 200 people showed to watch the GRC race here in Memphis.
Merry Christmas means its time for Go Kart racing. WKA World Championships Dec. 28-30 will bring about 1100 karts to 3 courses at Daytona. The flat dirt (limestone) flat track oval, the sprint track course in the east infield, and the fastest will race on the 3.56 mile international road race course.
This week in the sprint dash will include 2 Indy car drivers, Gabby Chaves and Andretti's Zach Veach. About 10 yrs ago I was there and walked by a guy who looked familiar. It turned out to be Emerson Fittipaldi. His grandson or nephew was racing a kart that week. Nascar drivers AJ Allmendinger & Jamie McMurray have raced this event.

I saw one of those at Daytona once.
I'm pretty sure it's a 962 leastways...not exactly the same though.
^ Hans Stuck in the 'Blue Dot Express'. Blaupunkt was extremely popular for a short time. I had one in my car.
Hide the jet dryers! Juan Pablo Montoya is at the kart races today. I never liked him.
IMSA practice (Roar before the 24) this weekend at Daytona. 50 cars (20 Prototypes) entered for the 24 Hours. 40 cars in the Continental series. Also a 25 car Mazda Prototype Challenge series race Sat. on IMSA.tv
Plenty of world class drivers arriving. Admission is free if you have a 24Hr ticket, $15 a day if not. Free infield parking. Kids 12 & under get in free.

Hoosier SCCA Super Tour at Sebring International Raceway
The U.S. Majors Tour is the pinnacle of championship racing in North America.
This isn't Easy Street. This is where America's best amateur drivers race. It means start-to-finish, wheel-to-wheel action. It's where drivers not only put their cars on the track, they put their pride on the line.
Over 200 cars entered so far.
Make no mistake, this is not country club driving.
Good fun last weekend. Only 1 serious crash. A Continental series driver crashed his Audi hard in turn 6 and broke his tibia/fibula. He had surgery and is recovering. I hope they will let us know from now on if a paraplegic is racing. This crash had a small fire and was waving his hands at corner marshals for help to get out. Probably needed help anyway with a compound fracture. The track emergency teams got to him quickly, they are staged in many places around the course for fast response.
Roush has a Nascar line up in a pair of Mustang GT4 cars. Austin Cindric, son of Penske executive Tim Cindric, and Truck series rookie of the year Chase Briscoe in #22. The #15 behind it has Ty Majeski and Cole Custer, with IMSA's Scott Maxwell.

Paul Newman’s Datsun 280ZX is restored to perfect condition.
Still a few days left to bid on some sweet rides at Mecum auction in Kissimmee.
