At the beginning of the season that...

    - Florida would have 27 guys miss one or more games with an injury.
    - Of those injuries, Driskel, Easley, Matt Jones, and Chaz Greene would be included.
    - Gators finish the season 4-8, losing to Georgia, FSU, Vanderbilt and Georgia Southern.
    - Florida State would go undefeated, their QB would be accused of rape, the charges would be dropped, and he would likely go on to win the Heisman award.
    - Ohio State would go undefeated.
    - Those two teams would play each other for a national title.
    - Auburn would return a FG for a touchdown in the final seconds of their game with Alabama to insure that happened.

    Would you have believed me?

Congratulations Gator fans. If you are reading this, you have survived the worst season of college football in Gator football history. Next year is a fresh start.

There's pain all around. SC for the third year in a row beat the team that would go on to win the SEC East. Had Bama not have lost, there was a chance SC would have jumped Mizzou for a bowl, possibly even a BCS bowl.

We beat the Clempstones and yet they are going to to the Orange Bowl, to become the orange crush of Bama.

I feel ya, Cocky. The downside of playing in the best league in college football is that we'll be getting shafted in our respective bowl games until a larger playoff gets here. Good luck in your bowl game. In such a terrible season, losing to Spurrier and the Gamecocks is not something I'll ever be too upset about. A good program and a great coach.

The winning is good, the getting to know Spurrier is priceless.

With all due respect Cocky, if Florida can't win 10 games, then we automatically win the "sympathy" award.

As I said in another thread, there is no doubt in my mind that when you consider everything, this is the worst year of Gator football ever.

Based on the elevation of our program since '79, 3 NC's, and our upgraded facilities and recruiting pool, this was the worst year

Osu still has to win. But even with their loss, the year has been miserable

I would've believed this before I would've believed most of that plus Auburn vs FSU in the MNC game.

    Crazy year all around:

    - UCF wins Big East
    - Baylor wins Big 12
    - Two teams that were predicted 5th/6th in their divisions played for the SECCG
    - Michigan State wins the Big Ten

    Go GATORS!

It all depends on what happens. We have a bit of affinity with Auburn and I think most who grew up in north florida will understand that.

They will be our surrogate and the overall assessment of this season with respect to gator nation will depend on what they do to rapist led SOW. It really does depend on that to me.
