    No doubt that Florida would have easily defeated the Canes if Tyler Murphy was starting QB in the game. Florida stomped Miami in all statistical categories. It was that horrible uneasiness brought to the table by JD that pervaded the air every time our Offense took the field that fueled this loss. All honest Gator fans know you were sitting on the edge of your chair waiting for that guaranteed "tear your heart out" mistake by JD occasioned not by lack of athletic talent but rather lack of inherent innate instinct.

    I feel very bad for JD and wish him only the best. That stated, there is no question that Florida is a much better team with Tyler Murphy at the helm. In practice, my guess is that JD would look better than Johnny Manziel. My concern is that our OC could not identify this obvious lack and take action before we were burned needlessly by the Canes.

    We beat ourselves in Miami, the canes just were lucky enough to be on the other side of the ball that day. Period

    Miami is not a good team and the loss to them will forever be unforgivable. End of story.

    Why did this turn into another tyler m.> jeff d. Argument? All I was trying to say was yea it was a bad loss and we made too many mistakes but they look like a decent team!

    I think we can beat both uga and lsu...there defense is horrible and with our defense they wont score 40+ points...we will be in both of those games! If murphy and offense keeps improving we can have a great season!

    Jeff had the best game he's ever had statistically, the running game was just running into walls and there were plenty of fumbles too. In sum, what elron said.

    Lessee...Thus far:

    * We lost because we beat ourselves, while Miami just happened to be there, rather than influencing the turnovers in any way;

    * Our defense sucked early on, which was the only reason Miami had two early scores;

    * We didn't really want to be there, as the kids don't feel the rivalry as the older fans and Miami players do;

    * Driskel is thrown under the bus. If TM started, we WOULD have won;

    * Playcalling sucked, as usual;

    * Muschamp's philosophy sucks.

    Haven't heard anything about the officials or the weather yet. Haven't heard much about Miami actually doing what it had to do to win that game, either.

    Where were these fans a decade ago?

    * Gee, if Ingle was healthy we would have beaten Miami, Tennessee and Ole Miss!

    * Bowl games don't matter; they are only exhibitions anyway. Coaches need to recruit.

    At least everyone acknowledges that the Swindle was a genuine ripoff...

    Miami deserves credit for beating us. This "we beat ourselves" talk is crap, and everyone knows it. They made some key plays (stopping us on fourth, hitting those bombs for TD's, taking advantage of turnovers, ect.) that won the game for them. If they hadn't done anything special, we would have won despite our inept performance on offense. On the other hand, if we hadn't blown so many opportunities we would have beaten them despite their making those plays. Yes we blew it; no we didn't beat ourselves. We tried to win and couldn't. Sucks because I hate Miami. But it is what it is. And no, I don't think they are a particularly good team either.

    If we couldn't beat a Miami football team that people say isn't good, what will happen when we actually play good teams?

    Miami had our help!
    Kentucky was SEC and reflected our capability as a team!
    We will welcome Arkansas LSU UGa USCe and take Bama in Atlanta!
    You must believe to achieve!
    Go Gators!

    Frantic search for more excuses. Some would concoct any fantasy to avoid admitting Miami was better at simply doing what it takes to win.

    Miami is an improved team this year, should have lost to UF, will lose to FSU, won't win the ACC. Would love to see them against Clemson.

    One upset win at home doesn't make a good team. They're schedule outside of FSU is creampuff central just like the 80s when they'd play a few tough games a year (maybe) while Musberger would sing the praises of Vinny Testaverde's dad on national TV.

    Listening to the radio this morning the hosts on 560 said that Miami is officially back, they can beat any team in the country and they just beat a very physical squad in USF. I can't wait for them to lose.

    if you take away all of florida's bad plays against miami and all of their good plays, florida played better.

    Miami is one of those teams that's dangerous enough to take down a top team, but they're not really that consistently great. Florida probably wins that game 7-8 times out of 10.

    They're like Ole Miss in '08.
