We have had a lot of injuries every year that Muschamp has been here
His 2 catches for 18 yds on the season?
Look, I admire your optimism and loyalty to the team, but you've listed a bunch of guys who are barely contributing as examples of reasons to be optimistic about the roster.
He also posted Rolin, who has yet to take a snap is a 'proven contributor' and that Story, who is no longer with the team, is 'making a move'. At first I thought it was a joke but now it looks like he was being serious!
Yup, I also thought it was meant to be a sarcastic post but
then he sprinkled in a couple of reasonable statements to make me question that.
A lot of wishing and hoping in that post. Sure, some of those guys could break out and become solid contributors. We need more than that though. We need game changing talent. Lunch bucket guys are not going to win championships in this league.
I see few stars on offense, besides Taylor and maybe Fullwood. DRob appears to be on his way out.
Muschamp needs Cook and Lane badly and they have to be immediate impacts to save his job.
I never knew he went to UF. I wonder why he went to our rival.
No offense, but this might take the record for most fail in one post.
Fulwood is coming on? How? A couple of garbage-time catches per game it about all I see.
Who is Story?
Matt Jones has barely played against any SEC competition.
Garcia is serviceable at best.
Has McMillian played at all?
Anzalone has done nothing but contribute on special teams.
This post reads like a 2013 recruiting class projection someone might have posted last February. Half of these players have barely seen the field.
I think this is a train wreck that should take Will at least 2 Years to turn around.
Our program is in absolutely disarray.
We couldn't put ONE offensive player on the field today that was capable of making any kind of impact on the game. For whatever reason, Kelvin Taylor, the only one remotely capable of that wasn't allowed to see the field much. Instead we have Showers, a converted DB trying to make plays in space off of a screen pass from Skyler Mornhinweg , behind a subpar OL.
Today's game, much like GSU and Vandy again reminded me of a preseason NFL game. We played like the outcome didn't even matter. Guys running around out there many gator fans probably couldn't even identify, let alone SEC fans or college football fans across the country.
Those in charge of architecting this program are failing mightily.
We are once again in a major hole that will take us many years to recover from.
Kelvin Benjamin was the difference today. One of the best college wr I have ever seen. Huge, fast and great hands and run good routes.
We outmuscled FSU just last year.
I think Alabama, Louisiana, these fans and Athletic Dept.s want a successful football team and don't let grass grow under their feet. We do it the right way. We are patient, we hope for the best and give contracts for life. This behavior helps us more than we as fans know. Just ask Jeremy.
With Will in charge of making big changes for the offense, I know all Gators can't wait for Charley Weiss to come back or some other cast off from a smaller conference, because his friends will help him make the hire. None of these guys, his friends are gators. General Custer had the situation in hand when he went into the Little Big Horn, "err the SEC", but we all know how that worked out. I can't wait till Jan sometime when Will tells us about his fix.
I think we should structure contracts on the AD and the Head Coaches of Football and basketball to take big cuts with non acceptable results. At least they would be held accountable. It is like our Congress, take what they want, retire big, sorry tax payers. We as fans and taxpayers should demand more or strike. In Alabama, if they ever had a year like this, they would take their guns and surround the houses of those in charge. LOL
Jarrad Davis. Sorry. Think you probably knew who I meant.
Rolin was very impressive in preseason camp and was going to be a contributor as a true freshman.
Anzalone was solid playing against GSU.
Ivie played well against GSU.
You disagree, I get that. Beauty, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder.
It will take one more year and a coaching change
He is an outstanding, prototypical WR. A NFL 1st rounder.
Did he ever consider UF?
FSU's O-Line was exceptional in pass protection.
I saw two different teams in two different leagues using two different schemes yesterday.
It is going to be at least two years before we can get to that level.
Yes he did consider UF. Muschamp nearly swayed him after he arrived in Gainesville buut he was considered an FSU lean at the time.
I'm pretty sure I heard he can leave for the draft this year as he's a RS Sophomore. If FSU does the ugly and wins a national championship and he has a 1st round draft grade (as some are suggesting he would be the following year as a Junior), who knows... we might have already seen the last of him! (We wish!)
