There are more people being chippy on this board than players on the field. Relax fellas and don't take everything so personally. The added stress isn't good for you!! GO GATORS!! #GG²

I tend to ignore it when I can. what is causing me more stress is all the shiny new FSU gear I am seeing everywhere. The bandwagon is filling up

It will just lead them to a harder fall later.

Winning out or losing the rest is probably the only way we'll reach some sort of equilibrium around here.

Though I get your point, really only losing out will change anything as a great many enlightened fans may take a permanent hiatus. If we win out, this place will still be filled with malcontents.

We better beat FSU. I'd trade all the other games for a FSU win. Ideally you want to win out.

Disagreements are fine. The problem is when someone disagrees with someone else, some posters immediately go to "you know nothing about football", etc.

I enjoy most of the discourse on this board though.

There is one notable positive poster on this board who has not posted here in the past few weeks since the struggles started. Some people don't like negative atmospheres. I don't mind because it is negative for a good reason. I view gatornation's high standards as a key to this program's success. We don't tolerate mediocrity. If Old Bowden coached here he would have been fired in 2005 instead of hanging around until 2009 like he got to do at FSU.

    No.

We still love Steve and he tries to beat us every year. We would still love him if he was winning 9 games per season here.

    Legends are beloved.

No way that we fire Steve Spurrier after 25 years....no stinkin' way.

Steve may have done us a favor, by not putting us through that in the long run, but very few would have ever called for the head of the king Gator.

    Me included.

Let me add the little side note that my reason for hoping that we win out is the little fact that they may make us the Champions of the Southeastern Conference, as well as the eliminators of FSU from the BCS race.

I agree with this. I don't mind if it's negative as long as it's realistic. If it were all sunshine and rainbows around here while we are losing then why wouldn't I just go read gatorzone.com?

It's been very positive around here just regarding the defense. That's realistic.

Bobby's last 5 seasons were: 5 loss, 6 loss, 6 loss, 4 loss, 6 loss and then even FSU fired him in 09 and this was after he already used up 4 seasons of goodwill from 01-04. In total in his last 9 seasons he only reached 10 wins once. This fan base has less patience. I think he would have been fired at least 3 seasons sooner than FSU did. Even legends usually get fired. You really only get about 4-5 seasons of goodwill at this university imo.

I agree with you. It just seems like there have been more 1 on 1 confrontations lately, which is understandable considering what is taking place. Obviously there's a freedom of speech (as long as you are within GC guidelines), but it seems like some posters are singled out frequently.

I'm not sure people who complain about an offense that for four seasons in a row has ranked near the bottom in almost every offensive stat are "malcontents."

It's hard to stay positive with the way we have played the last 3 years. We were one ugly 11-2 team last year. Yin meets Yang. For as great on defense, we were equally inept on offense.
