That this team doesn't have the talent to be playing for championships. This team is just as talented, if not more, than every team we have played. My opinion of the second half is it was the players that wanted it, but the plays and schemes called by the coaching staff handcuffs the players from putting them in the best position to win. I really believe the surge in the second half was out of frustration by the players. When the offense started to build a drive, Pease would call some stupid play that was different than what was working that killed the play almost every time. Stick with what works!!!! He tries to be creative and he is not!!! Keep calling the same play until it doesn't work anymore. Murphy was able to run. Let him run. Those options plays sucked and didn't work. Those counter plays to Taylor worked. Running him up the middle didn't work as much. When Taylor has the hot hand, why give the ball to Brown. Taylor was having more success. Why was he sitting out of drives? Murphy is very talented and was making plays. Taylor is talented. I would give him the ball 20-25 times a game. The OC needs to figure out which throws Murphy can do the best, and design plays around his abilities. They are not. Coaches talk about developing offenses and defenses around the talents of the personnel they have. Certainly they recruit those types of players that fit their scheme the best. However,if they don't have the talent for their scheme, they build the offense around the players. This coaching staff either refuses or is too incompetent to understand. It is frustrating knowing we have the talent to win, but we are losing because of the staff.
