I just realized UK and UT are both in the Midwest region.

WTH is wrong with the selection committee? They make UK an 8th seed when their BPI would have them a 4. UT should have been an 9 seed and they are in a play in??? To make matters worse, they would have to play each other if they can get by their brutal draws. I was hoping both could make a run to the Final Four but that is impossible now.

Are there any SEC members on the committee?

^Yep, they are both in the Midwest. You would think the committee could at least place the 3 SEC teams in different regions???

And the committee also put Louisville in there next to Kenfucky just for kicks.

Speaking of BPI's....Pittsburgh is closer to playing a 4-seed than an 8 or 9.
That's no easy 2nd-round matchup if they get by Colorado.....check this out:

Probably the easiest of all 4 of the possible 8/9 match ups for the top seed.

and Tennessee is only maybe in the midwest region. Iowa is no pushover

I don't think UK deserved an 8 seed, but the BPI does seem to have them rated too highly IMO. They're closer to an 8 seed than a 4.

I can't tell you that this isn't your opinion, but you'd honestly trade places with WSU?

It seems that the committee is much more into resume stats, like RPI, than those that consider team power, like BPI. Based on power, no way you guys are an 8-seed. Based on resume? Probably about right. Actually, looking at ESPN's RPI replica, 8 is probably too low even using RPI. But like you said, UK is probably closer to an 8 than a 4.

Yeah, that's crazy talk. I wouldn't mind having Arizona's path, but I want no part of Wichita's draw.

    I disagree.

The gator's bracket is not bad, far better than the bracket they got in the SEC tournament.

But, to put both lower seeded SEC teams into the same bracket is quite simply NUTS!!!

And for either Iowa or Tennessee to be play-ins is EVEN MORE NUTSO!!!!!

The selection committee left their minds at home when they drew this stuff up.
