I've been watching College football shows a lot today and have been most of the week when I get a chance to but is it me or is the hype really quiet for this game? It's mostly about Clowney, OU vs UT, and how great Oregon is

Oh sure you get the occasional 10 second clip saying "Oh ya before we end the show LSU host Florida, see you next time". It's not like its a top 25 match up nearly ever year or anything.

Maybe I'm just catching the shows at the wrong time. Have you guys heard much about it? They seem to be more worried about the OU vs UT blow out game more than anything

think UF being ranked 17th...both teams have losses

UGA doesn't look out and we dont turn the ball over 6 times this is a 2 vs 4 game

If you watch ESPN, they will hype games played on their network, with a minor mention of ones played on other networks.

I agree. Except when a caller brings it up, Sat radio hardly knows there is a game at 2:30 covered by CBS this Saturday even though they talk about LSU and the SEC all day long. Apparently, aTm Bama UGA and LSU are the SEC and everybody else is just along for the ride. I admit I do not listen all day but I hear about 2 hours a day in the morning at lunch and the drive home.

CBS has been hyping it. But, obviously in their interest to do so.

We need to make a statement to become relevant again.

Who cares? ESPN certainly isn't going to hype a game on a rival network. That would be like a Ford dealer hyping Chevy.

There is only a few teams in the country who could beat UF and LSU, but it always ND and Buckeyes Bullshit on Espn, same with Bama they only get respect after another NC ring.

While we had a solid team last year we also had minimal meaningful games on a broader scale. Few people care about the Sugar Bowl with no implications. No SECCG. Our only game that mattered to outsiders was Georgia. Combine all that with the fact most thought we were overrated and that we are incredibly boring to watch.

Now all of that is not a bad thing.

I'd take it every single year if our season has MNC and SEC implications up to the Georgia game. More often than not it'll continue on after that game, unfortunately last year it didn't. Really you can't win them all.
