Why does this side of wealth redistribution get so little coverage by the people who claim to be against the redistribution of wealth?

How is letting people keeping more of their money redistributing wealth? In order to believe this, you would have to conclude that certain amount of money they earn does not belong to them. On the other side of the coin I agree with you on the corporate welfare.

you didn't build that...says all you need to know about their mentality

but hedge fund manager income should not be treated as carried interest and neither the dems or pubs have shown any inclination to slay that dragon

    This!

Now tax credits I would consider redistribution...

That said the only credits I know with limitations are against the wealthy...

To dovetail off another post, this side of "wealth redistribution" doesn't get talked about because it is obviously nothing of the kind. Not taking money away from someone -- i.e. a tax rate cut or deduction that leaves THEIR money in THEIR hands without needing to be sent to Washington -- is in every way the opposite of government redistributing wealth.

I think there is no doubt our tax laws need to be rewritten but the ACA would be a campfire verses the forest fire that would bring on.

IF you want to rid corporate welfare first look to the lobbyists.

    ^^^^This from my earlier post

Sorry, capital gains taxes is wealth redistribution, but letting people keeping more of their own money is not.

Epic fail! Keeping one's money is not redistribution of it. Stealing it through ridiculous OVER TAXATION for the government to redistribute is socialist and un-American.

There is more to the original post than just what you commented on. Take the time to read it and you will see.

The jealousy of those who make less- there are plenty of people who make a lot more than I do- all I say is good for them

I'm all for ending cooperate welfare as long as the new laws don't discourage R&D that is crucial for innovation and invention right here in the US.A..

Do you think the taxes you pay should be given to large companies?
