Yeah but one of those was intercepted. Therefore we should have tried even less.

What gives anyone the impression that we have a TE on the Roster that can catch a football consistently and fulfill the rest of their duties.
Thompson is a RS Freshman who has been hurt for 2 years. Kent Taylor is a big WR right now. If he won't or can't block, we should just throw to our actual WR's.

Our TEs have 1 catch total apparently. That probably puts us dead last in the nation. Are our TEs THAT bad? DFL bad? Doubt it. Our passing game though? Maybe.

Yes... our TE's are not good. We have 2 guys who are converted DE's playing TE.
Thompson is hurt and Taylor is not really a TE right now. He can't block apparently, so he is a big WR. We already have WR's.

We are using our TE's to what their abilities are at this point and that is pass and run blockers. Need to recruit better at that position.

^ this I agree with 100%. I think Thompson could help when healthy, but be is only a RS freshman.
Hopefully we can land Goolsby this recruiting cycle.

Recruit better? They were near the top of every recruiting board. What am I missing here? And it's not like they were recruited by a different staff. Muschamp recruited both of them, no?

I'm tired and have been drinking, so maybe I'm way off here. My apologies, if so.

Thompson has been hurt for 2 years. Kent Taylor can't or wont block.
Recruiting rankings are useless once these players get on campus. Every team has players who don't pan out or take a while to develop.
Let's not forget, they are both still young.

Taylor - 54th nationally great pass catching TE

    Thompson - 187 nationally

They may both be great pass catchers, but are they good blockers? I am not at practice but I would assume that there is some problem or they would be on the field. Would seem to me that it would have to be a blocking issue.

No competent TE leaves us with a huge hole.

Actual WR's don't get lined up with Linebackers. TE's do. I'd take a big WR against a LB all day.
