I haven't really been keeping up with recruiting as much as I typically do. with that said I have no idea how many guys we can/will sign this year. I know 14 is low and we will obviously have to finish strong, I’m just trying to get an idea of how many targets we can look to lock up. Thanks!

I asked on a thread a couple weeks ago and did not get answered. I think we started the recruiting season believing we could only take 16-18 but that no longer makes sense. You cannot be(supposedly) talent-bare yet only able to take a tiny class because your roster is full. I say we go above 20.

You think they might be evaluating if some ships should be taken back? Just curious if that's even an option if some players simply aren't performing. At the same time, I suppose you would have to have a board that offers good candidates to fill those openings but at some positions we don't seem to have that luxury anyway.

some people will go to the NFL some people will leave to get more playing time some might grad early a lot of things will happen between now and NSD. If a player is good enough they will find a wat to get him on the team. My guess right now would be low 20's

If we ever want to compete with 'bama then it better be at least 25.

Coaches need to start oversigning unless they never want to win a SEC title ever again. It is what it is.

I don't like playing with a student athlete's future this way but it's starting to look more like a necessary evil.

Tend to agree but you have to have a full board to do that. I don't believe we could sign a full class at several positions... hard to believe we don't have a true top 10 TE committed already.

oversigning would lead to a bunch of jacoby brisset type situations in that it would make us look bad to the coach of the kids that get left out

I can believe it..we have the top 2 TE's a couple years ago and virtually no play at all....who would want to commit to that? I see what you're saying as far as early playing time goes.

You are really helpful. We will get a top te, reed is doing well in league, he was our top receiver, you need to learn the difference between fantasy(recruiting ranking) and reality, they ain't that good......yet. It's not rocket science my man.

My point is they have failed miserably at developing the talent that they have recruited so that speaks to one more of the plethora of failures committed by this staff. Furthermore, insulting me instead of having a conversation of actual substance that I would surmise that we both have a passion for is not warranted whatsoever...state your opinion, make your point, etc..just remember we root for the same team....save your insults for your enemies...instead of trying to make new enemies in your own forum.
