Speaking as Gator fan I'll say the only reason I'll sort of hope that Auburn wins is because they are a notch lower on my dislike scale than fsu. I think this whole conference loyalty thing is very overblown.
fsu in at or near the top of my dislike scale so I wouldn't root for them to beat anyone.

I think the perception of the SEC being completely and utterly dominant helps all teams within.
I'll certainly be rooting HARD for AU against FSU. War Damn Eagle, S-E-C and all that jazz.

I imagine a lot of them aren't used to the end of regular season not revolving around them for starters, then even uglier to see their most hated rival play for it all. Auburn looks incredible, almost epic, Malzahn looks like Saban's equal.

Thought: Our rival losing...means Bamas rival wins. Its a double win for us.

Think of it as our bowl game. We get to wear orange and blue, and root against the noles. #perfectscenario

They might be a little conflicted, but they are going to be cheering Auburn. With very few short term exceptions (like Kiffin led UT) I've always rooted for the SEC against nonconference teams, especially when the Gators have nothing to lose.

Funny how quickly the tide turns, no pun intended. All the Bammer fans were running their mouths during the season thinking that they were going to win a 3-peat. AU was down from last year, a new coach, a new QB. All of a sudden they lose on the last second to Auburn and they have to stomach the Tigers playing for the National Title instead of them.

Unless they were playing Ref$U, I would never pull for the following teams to win the BCSCG: Jawja, Tennessee, the Gamecocks and Auburn. Because they are playing Halfassu, I will pull for AU just like I pulled for UT in 1998.

I was under the impression Bama hated Auburn more than any other team. Are we so sure they'll actually be cheering for them in the title game?

Some might but the majority I've seen on Facebook and elsewhere are now Seminoles.

So you would much rather cheer for FSU over UGA if they were playing in the title game?....

And I would agree. Typical Bammy attitude.

And nothing would please me more than to see the Semi's go down in flames by Awbrin.

The one poster above is correct... it is a double win:
Noles lose... and the Bammys get to cry because the cross-state hated rival, The Barners took their illustrious Natty away... and in the time you can say, "Boiled Peanuts"... Auburn winds up winning it also.
I will be cheering for Auburn all day and twice on Sunday.
    Take that Pacyderms!
Check out the 1:18 mark. "The Emperors Of The College Football World"....
    Ha!

It might surprise some of you to know there are many Tide fans who will be pulling for the Barn over the CrimiNoles.

Many have expressed disgust over the rape issue.

Some feel there is an even an upside to a Barn win --- because of recruiting advantages FSU may have if they win. They feel they already have control in their state.

Many have family members and or friends who are Auburn alumni.

Others are just simply loyal to the SEC.

But indeed there are many who are pulling for FSU - simply because of their dislike for Auburn. Much the same as Gators who are pulling for whoever plays against FSU.
