Ah, irony. The internet's ongoing battleground of linguistic failure.
There should be a browser plugin that just plays Alanis Morrisette anytime someone uses it incorrectly.
I used to post on a board that had the definition of irony stickied to the top (I don't think it was this board)
That's pretty ironic. Or is it wistful?
I blame Alanis Morrisette.
It's like rain....
Guess I was a little slow at the keyboard...
Beat me to it!.
And while we're on the subject of misuse of terms: The word "myriad" implies the prepositions. Thus, "He had myriad issues with the case." Not: "He had a myriad of issues with the case." Sorry, personal pet peeve.
....of course we should note that the definition of "irony" is itself, a bit nuanced...
Of course you don't...
I told you this would come. This is all the liberals have. Nuance.
Hmm. So anyone who disagrees with you (or points out a common error) is a liberal?
I can understand the issues with nuance. Appears there is none in your world.
Yes, that is the binary world that Dave lives in.
Dont take away my nuance, its all I have.
:curls up in fetal position:
So explain it to me, pal.
And all Dave can do when he is dead to rights on an issue is move the goalposts.
