We have recently been acquired by a big company and I was just informed that my position is now "nonexempt" and that I will be moving from Salary to Hourly. My boss told me that everything stays the same, except I will now be eligible for overtime. If you count a mandatory hour lunch (which I don't really take) I basically work 40 hours a week anyways. Is this a good or bad thing? What are the negatives?
