At the game at Bama last night they had all kinds of things going on during timeouts and halftime and so forth. Some are expected, like the dance team performing on the court. They had a toy car race on the scoreboard, two fans guessing which player's favorite hero is Spiderman, pre-recorded things with the players doing different things like trying to rap, they failed miserably. It was just stuff that had nothing to do with the game.

My question is, do the Gators do this kind of extraneous stuff at home games?

The stuff in the video is what I would expect at a game. It was all the stuff that had nothing to do with basketball that I was wondering about.

Why doesn't our two time national champions have a home court that impressive? I heard we were going to do a big reno job on the O'Connell center, but would it look anything like that??

Honestly, the O Dome is wonderful already. Is it the most aesthetically pleasing arena in the country? No, but it is more than adequate . They redid the lower bowl in 2011 which decreased the number of seats by about 500. Below is the concept picture of the Odome after proposed renovations. It looks pretty but IMO is much worse than what we have. Right now the lower bowl seats go practically right up to the court. It really gives a great feel to the game but that will be gone.
