This just shows your ignorance to the game of basketball. Hill did a better job guarding Releford and had 2 steals. You just gave me individual stats to say Wilbekin had a better game. Hill played 15 min less and given 8 shots could have easily outscored Wilbekin and had more assists. Hill played better today, face it! Today HILL WAS OUR BEST PG at both ends. He ran the offense, penetrated in the lane, got the ball moving, while Wilbekin stood there throwing up contested 3s. Hill wasnt great but TODAY he was better than Wilbekin. I never said Hill was better than Wilbekin overall...just today he was. If Wilbekin shoots 7 3s Saturday we lose by 10+.

letitfly, i don't think you are going to win this one. it was a good effort, and no one wants to discredit Hill but throughout the year Scottie has proven to be the best PG on our roster, tonight, sure maybe it was a wash, but Scottie is still the hands down choice for the PG right now, maybe in a year or two we will be saying this about Hill but not yet.

Individual stats does not tell me who ran the offense better or more effectively. It just shows me that some people forgot that basketball is a team game, not an individual one.

Absolutely, Wilbekin is the better PG overall and for the season. I am just trying to point out that some people think Hill was horrible today because of 2 plays, which in fact he had a good game and picked up for Wilbekins inconsistent game.

Im with you, I do wish Hill was a bigger threat to score then he would really compliment Scottie well, especially when they play together. Teams sag on Hill because he is not a 3 point threat(i know he made his tonight but still unproven through the year) which creates more bodies in the middle and a more congested lane which is no fun. Once he gets a jumper he is going to be something special.

One of his horrible plays - ball stolen - at the end, was seemingly due to lackadaisical zone out. It really helped the Gumps make it uncomfortably and unnecessarily close at the end.

Talk of him being one and done, is an incredible idea to me. He has a very high ceiling, but he is not even standing on the coffee table of getting a decent college game, yet.

I really think Hill will return to work on his shot even more next season. I think he may have the biggest upside of any freshman in college, except for maybe Embid and Wiggins.

I agree that the upside is huge, I can't imagine a scenario where he leaves to go pro. Billy is so good at player development, I'm sure Hill sees the gators in the NBA that stayed and made huge strides through their years at UF. Hopefully he's notice that and see his potential

Not at the moment. He really seems like he has peaked. He is a very good player, but I dont see the athleticism to keep getting better and better. He seems like he may stall out in the NBA next season or the year after.

Actually you went way beyond that and suggested Wilbekin's play of this nature will lose the UT game, which is inane. Your argument has been nebulous, unsupported and inconsistent.

Yes, if he plays like he did today we will lose. Is it that hard to comprehend, my argument has been supported by multiple facts and has not been inconsistent. Do you understand English?

I really don't believe Kasey Hill has any chance at being drafted if he were to leave. He has not shown any ability to hit the outside shot and that will be a must for a player with his size. I honestly thought he would be further along offensively, but it just shows how big of a step up the college game is. Things he was able to do to score in high school and AAU do not work and he has to adjust his game. I think this has led to some of his drives down the lane which end up with him going nowhere or turning it over.

I thought that Kasey was terrible tonight. I thought that Scottie was solid tonight, especially at crunch time.

Kasey hit a much needed three at the time, but other than that, I'd say he was more of a liability than a great help tonight.

he is a freshman, he'll learn. Things like this are why is so awesome that we have this guy named Billy Donovan taking up residence with the basketball team. Maybe you have heard of him Letitfly?

My point is, give him some time, he ain't ready to be thrust into a heavy role yet.
