Has to start taking care of the ball better...

Yes, I know he's a freshman, but every game he has a knack for careless turnovers, especially down the stretch.

Not ones from trying to make a play, but just being lackadaisical.

Funny how many of us thought he would bypass Scotty during the season.

Only a person who lacks basic knowledge about basketball and team play could possibly have thought that Hill would surpass Wilbekin. If he had his head on straight, he might get close to Wilbekin, but as I have always said, Wilbekin is one of the best players to ever play for Billy D, if for no other reason that his absolutely shut down defense, which he has had since he was a 17 year old freshman (you win with defense, although offense is also necessary).

Wilbekin has really stepped up his game this year. He has a tendency to get wild as well and has made many boneheaded mistakes prior to this year. I don't think it was a stretch, considering the hype around Kasey Hill, to think that Wilbekin would have been passed up. But Scotty has been much better this year, and Kasey is still a work in progress.

At first when you wrote that he is the best that played for Billy I thought what??? But I'm not sure I can argue with you.

Between the two PG we had two turnovers. Both by Hill. Those two guys were the least of our problems.

Hill seems to be making the same mistake that many other freshmen make, which is relying on what worked in hs to work in college. He still has speed, but not enough to blow by every player every time.

Kasey is having a bit of a tough time.
It was nice to see him hit the front end of that one n one. Nice to see him hit that three.
He's got a way to go. But he's a freshman.

Hill was our best PG by far tonight! He ran the offense and made the right passes. He made 2 mistakes...2, thats it. Wilbekin was 2 for 8 shooting and was down right horrible offensively. Passing, shooting, defense, rebounding...every category Hill exceeded Wilbekin tonight. He made two brain fart plays that were turnovers. I rather have him play 40 min a game over Wilbekin if all Wilbekin is going to do is pass around the arc and shoot 3s.

I suggest you watch the game more carefully. None of your exaggerations are accurate and the last sentence is just . . . full of fail.

i suggest u open your dang eyes and watch the game. We went from up 3 to up 12 with Hill running the game. Wilbekin was crappy tonight plain and simple. He will lose us the Tenn game if he plays the way he did tonight. Wilbekin shot 7 3s and all but 1 was contested 3 feet off the arc. GO Watch the replay..u are a complete fail

Could be one of the most ridiculous posts I've seen in the 15 years I've been posting on GC.

And Hill shall mature. If he was at the level of the OP he would be a one and done.

why...I am 100% accurate. What did I say that was wrong Wilbekin played a horrible game and Hill stepped up in the second half and pulled us through to a victory. He had 2 bad plays, Wilbekin had at least 5 bad shots/plays not counting a horrible defensive effort on Releford who got into the paint at will.

Don't take it personally. There are many fans on board who don't understand some of the complexities involved with basketball at this level. This was not Scottie's best game, but he was our third leading scorer and had four assists to two turnovers. Kasey's assist/to ration was identical. Meanwhile, Scottie was charged with holding Bama's best player in check and he did just that, holding Releford below his average. There's much more to the game than three point shot attempts. As for Scottie losing us the Tenn game . . .

I would be shocked if Kasey goes pro...the draft is so deep he probably doesn't go first round and next year he will improve tremendously. Plus he doesn't shoot the ball consistently enough yet.
