It would seem that the rebels in Syria are taking the fight to Hezbollah on their own turf. If the Syrian conflict spreads into Lebanon the whole ME could light up. Convenient scapegoat is Israel but this seems to be an escalation of the growing civil war within Islam.

Interesting that Hezbollah leader met with Syrian President and Iranian president last week in Syria while Iran was negotiating with US to get relief from sanctions. I can hear the Iranian pres now "The check is in the mail guys, no worries"

I'll point out that they also claimed the United States and Israel were behind the assassination of Lebanese PM Rafic Hariri, which ended up being Syria and Hezbollah. Neither the United States nor Israel are responsible for every dispute that results in violence in the Arab world.

If this escalates tensions in Lebanon the whole tinder box could explode.

Hariri was probably a bigger deal. That's what turned the civil dissent into a civil war they are presently in. Honestly, I would guess that this was just another part of that civil war. But, yes, it is a tinder box.
