Hi everyone. Alum. GSMB refugee. My inaugural season was 0-10-1. It's been a great ride and looking forward to this years Season of Healing. Thanks for the welcome. Go Gators!!
It's nice to be here. I'm a long time lurker at both sites but I posted occasionally at the gsmb. Grew up an Air Force Brat, residing at Homestead AFB from 6th grade through high school. Attended UF from '85-'89. Served active duty in the U.S. Army, as well as in a L.E. capacity in Broward County and now with the state of AL. Live in hostile country now (Huntsville, AL, aka Rocket City). Thank you for helping us feel welcome.
I very rarely posted over there, but read almost daily. I grew up a Gator fan, went to school to be an opera singer so didn't end up at UF. I live in Georgia now with my husband (a Tech grad so we both hate UGA) and our two kids. I am happy to have found another place to get my fix of Gator news!
Hey everyone Andrew here. I'm the recruiting guy around here and I'm just your typical Alabama native that was born to root for the Orange and Blue. I'm a die hard Braves as well.
If I can be any assistance to you please shoot me a message or shoot me a message on twitter. Hope to see you guys around here posting a lot.
Twins! You are only 9 shy of a starting team on offense or defense...
Hopefully you're not scarred for life.
I joined Gatorsports in 2010 to tell some Donovan-basher he was an idiot. I lurked for years both there and here, and started posting there again last year. Long-time Gator from Jax, and a UF alum.
I confess I am not much of a Muschamp fan, but am hopeful for a new year and a new offense. I promise to bite my tongue at least at first.
I also want to congratulate the National Champion softball team in my first post!
Welcome! Glad to have you!
Glad to be here. Looks like a great place1
Thanks for the welcome! I too was more of a lurker over there for years but decided to come here full time. The posters here seem more rational and intelligent. A bit about myself my mom and dad were both Gainesville natives and both graduated from UF. So naturally I was born into it. I lived in Gainesville most of my life, went to UF (05-09) the Glory Years as I fondly call it. I met my wife while attending and although we moved from Gainesville a couple years ago we make it to at least three games a year and I BLEED ORANGE AND BLUE. GO GATA!
I was a student starting in 1980. Loved the Pell era. And it got better after that. Moved to Texas but really miss Florida. My new wife doesn't really understand the greatness of being a Gator. I took her to the TexasA&M game a couple years ago to expose her somewhat. I think my habit of wearing Gator shirts on the weekend has helped. There are always strangers that give me the Gator chop or say something. Gators are everywhere. My pipedream is to retire in Florida. Don't know if that will happen. My wife thinks there are Gator parties everywhere in Florida so she is just leery of that environment. i told her she was ridiculous. We live down the street from TCU and a Horned Frog, or even Lonhorn party has yet to break out on our sidewalk. i told her today that the living on the Gulf Coast wouldn't be anything like living in Gainesville. It will take time to convince her. Anyway Go Gators!
Making the move here also. I am in Okinawa, Japan. I am a lifelong Gator! Best Gator memories are watching the Gators win the SEC Championship in 06 from the stands with my son. And then see them win it all in 08 from the club section with my best friend!
Welcome guys from GSMB. I posted all the time on GSMB until 2009 when I got fed up with it. Hope you guys stick around.
I was there with you in the club section in 08, Oklahoma endzone.
Long time lurker at GSMB, posted a few things. Seems posters are much friendlier here and more optimistic.
View from my seat!
Great view of the jump pass to seal the win.
The Oklahoma fans in front of me were so mad they left the stuff they bought. I grabbed it and waited to see if they would come back but they never did. I gave it to some UO fan we met at a gas station on they way back home. Also got the program signed by Tebow.
Hey guys thanks for the welcome. Gotta say I'm pretty disappointed about the GSMB shutdown. I lurked the board during work for entertainment and I'm hoping this board will deliver
Just curious, can someone fill me in as to what happened? I was there one day and then a week later I saw the post saying it was being taken down..
