Yes but Manning's legacy will always be as a Colt; and Elway brokered the deal. Tebow was drafted a season before Elway got control. Many Bronco fans took a liking to Tebow; Elway didn't.

Tebow's last game as a Bronco was as bad score-wise as the Super Bowl, and Tim's QB performance was worse IMO. Peyton is one of the best of all time, and he's proven it over and over. Can't win them all.

Well, the problem is that the Broncos are not going to beat the Seahawks or the 49ers with Manning.

I dont think Elway was jealous of Tim. He was a jerk to him. Thing is some of us knew this before Tebow. If you have ever had a reason to be around people who know Elway, which I have, you'll hear the same from them. Guy's is a DB in many ways. The Tebow thing was just the icing on my cake.

The only thing that I regret about last night is why Fox did not show more shots of hum boiling in the booth.

No one here hates Manning. Wrong thread.
Manning could not beat UF, and we love that...but most of us love the guy. Its his boss that deserves all the slingin' bein' slung.

I don't know about that Tilly... I truly dislike that guy... Denver, Elway and Fox. Fox did an interview once, when Tebow was their QB, while he was F***ed-up drunk and basically slammed Tebow in every way he could... while the Broncos were in the middle of a winning streak no less.

Elway may be a jerk as a person, dont really know since ive personally never met the guy. But if true, he certainly has plenty of company in the NFL hall of fame.
The hate for him on this board seems way over the top. I think he was just doing what he thought was best for his franchise. Tebow wasn't his guy, it happens. The reality is that the overwhelming majority of NFL GMs would have done the same thing if given the chance.
As for any Manning love, I'll pass. BTW, Elway may be a total jerk but was a far better Qb than Manning.

Tebow made Denver relevant again. Can't really blame him for getting Manning. Although, horse-face does seem a bit arrogant and egotistical. Manning IS the man. But they probably should have kept Timmy around under the tutelage of Manning. So when he rides off in the sunset our boy is waiting. I hope Tebow gets another shot. He sure is working hard to refine his game. One coach, same team, committed to him-how cool would that be?

Really? 43-8 loss, in the Super Bowl, and 'you can't win them all' explains it?

Manning still has his UT "happy feet". He fears getting touched let alone sacked. Denver needed down field completions once they got behind - not the behind the line of scrimmage throws the Seahawks were willing to give them.

That said, Elway's biggest screw up was hiring John Fox. He was the problem, not the solution in Charlotte and will not change his spots in Denver. His team was not prepared to beat the Seahawks and after they fell behind, he never made adjustments to put them in a position to compete, let alone win.

Elway, Fox and Manning deserve each other.

I agree with you 100%. We on this forum should be above such nonsense as to make fun of a horse's face.

Nah. When you think about it, pretty much the same guy. Maybe Peyton will get lucky and score a TD (Terrell Davis) so he can milk out another championship and equal Horseface in that department. Still trails Elway, though, in SB ass whippings (on the wrong end). Not sure he'll take that one from John who, at last check, still isn't as good as Montana.

That certainly explains a large number of the 32 NFL teams--I won't argue against that.

...but there are some (*cough* Jacksonville*cough*) who could use the media circus, butts in the seats, booster to merchandise sales, and return/introduction to relevance (etc.), that goes with the 'circus'.

NOTE: what I cannot fathom isn't that all 32 teams aren't beating down his agent's door, and blowing up his phone--it's that not one single team--not even Cleveland, Jacksonville, or Minnesota (just the obvious ones that come to mind)--who would benefit from 'the circus' tremendously--have even hinted at interest. That's what I don't get.

    Dumba$$ GM's. Guess they don't like easy $$$$.

It'll take more than a good defense. They'd better be packing a couple of great OTs.
