His problem is coaching not just skill. I promise. They are not working around him. Today was a great example. He'd be great in the Washington offense for example.

Can I have what you're smoking? Did you hear Todd McShay on Driskel after this game?

All the scouts I hear say that Driskel still plays like a redshirt freshman.

    Mcshay is an analyst.

And no, you can't have what I'm smoking. It's mine.

Yeah, I mean, why play to your QB's strengths? No, we'd rather have him sit in the pocket, play not to lose and hope and pray we dont turn it over.

Watching Conner Shaw right now, I totally agree. Jeff has just as much ability to run as Shaw.

No, change the system. Jacoby is not in the same league ad JD. You guys are not very good analysts. You're a buncha mcshays. ;-)

The closest he will get to an NFL game is if he buys a ticket to the game.

I'll add JD was a top baseball prospect and only worked on his craft in HS for half the time. Between all of his rollouts, and not devoting full time to football, he never had a chance to become a pocket QB with feel. Simply never got enough reps.

Meyer was also attempting to convert us to a more pro-style offense. Driskel would talk about that a lot in his recruiting interviews.

You can't develop a pocket presence without experience passing the ball in games. Jeff has not been given much opportunity, yet he is expected to be good at it whenever we need him to throw. We had tons of opportunities to give him more experience, including last week vs. Toledo, but we just run up the middle.

Exactly. How do they expect him to improve when they never have him do it against lesser competition so he can get into a rhythm with his receivers. Read the D, etc. Nope, can't do that. We must run and play defense because it is what Will wants to do. Then when we need him, we wonder why he locks on receivers and is throwing too early or high.

Then Will questions his decisions in his presser. Gee, Will, it should be fine. This is what you've allowed.

Here's how I'd pressure Driskel - attack from the outside because the bookends are too slow. The offensive line is swiss cheese.

O Line is not good. We have a lot of issues. I think our biggest concern is at the top I hate to say.

I agree with RGF. The offensive line is again a liability right now. I hope it will get better with Halapaio's return, and hope the Humphries is not going missing. Moore is not as good as we hoped.

It seems to me that JD mostly needs to get it through his head to throw the ball away when the pocket is closing down.

The other stuff I can't comment intelligently on. He does not seem terribly accurate when he is running--no touch. But, that is just my opinion. He did have some nice completions down field today. I wonder when we will see some of the larger WRs to help him.

Will better not have questioned his decision making, that's on Will, maybe Boom should spend a little bit less time losing his composure on the sideline and a bit more time coaching.

Today...inconsistency killed the Gators. I'd rather lose ten games straight to Ga, than one to Miami. Just me, but today...glad it's over. This very well may be a rough year. Not a tough or precise team on offense; obviously. Yes, so true, Driskel has no idea who's near him when he's in the pocket. Zero pocket awareness. I also thought the team had a bit of that Sugar Bowl chippiness to it. That didn't serve us well then, or today...Just saying. It's hard to know and accept you are overmatched. Well, Go Gators.

Again, why inconsistent? Five plays we remove and we blow them out.
