I missed the memo where the rules changed to:
    Turnovers don't count in analysis.

    Glad I finally caught up.

An LSU fan scared me yesterday by being sympathetic and saying he knew what it was like after all he had Jordan Jefferson as a QB for 3 years.

Why? Driskel's ceiling is much, much higher but honestly if we had McCarron we would have gone to Atlanta last season and beaten Miami on Saturday-- seriously I realize Tyler Murphy isn't a realistic option but he could have made the pass Jeff missed to Dunber 10 times out of 10, that was a basic slant route (I guess we now know why we don't throw slants in this offense-- in the open field that's a pick as the Safety is back behind Dunbar).

    Our offense is a mess.

The qb is turnover prone, the offensive line is injury prone, the tight ends are non existent and the rbs have very little experience. And what's worse is the depth at those positions is all terrible - filled with walk ons, defensive converts and players with almost no snaps under their belt. You would think we're on probation or just had a coaching change last year. Surprisingly the wrs have become our best unit.

Also we have some top offensive talent in the freshman but we can't get them on the field as well as some other teams are able to.

I think if we could hit big plays we would. The fact that we can't get a big run to pop for a td is surprising. It's not like the staff would tell the runner to take a knee to help our top instead of scoring.

If he fails to play his best talent as true frosh, I'm sure the next coach will play them as sophomores.
He can go 8-4 and survive, but we all know which game is his must win. He was right they won't have a long streak, but if its three, their streak will end under a new HC.

I doubt McCarron makes any difference on this team. He's completely surrounded by NFL players at Bama.

Against Virginia Tech, McCarron had a 89.3 QBR on 10/23 passing for 110 yards. IMO when the dust settles at the end of the year, Driskel will be a top 3 QB in the conference. Driskel is 2nd in the conference in completion percentage yet some of you continue to ramble on about how bad he is.

Driskel. How many of his 3 turnovers in the Miami game were his fault? Honest question.

I would be shocked, happy but shocked if Jeff is in the top 5 in the SEC at then end of the year.

Good topic OP. Ground and pound type, run oriented offenses probably aren't going to score that much. I'm sure history backs that up(Nebraska aside).

Jury is still out of the offense to me.

You are rating QBs by completion %? Seriously? Jeff was tenth in QB rating last year.

Wanna guess where he's ranked currently? TENTH!!!!

    Not good...not good at all.

Honestly, I believe all three. You can blame busted routes, bad OL, etc., but he could have scrambled, or thrown it away.

1 - Burton ran a wrong route resulting in one interception and our left tackle position got worked over bad on the blindside sack that resulted in the fumble.
