I don't think the point was that they were satan worshipers. It is that they were mocking the sincere beliefs of those who oppose them. It is an attempt to dehumanize those who are different a tactic usually associated with hate groups. It does say a lot that the "liberals" here defend it.

So, to follow your logic, when a stand-up comedian makes a joke about Christians (or any particular group) this is an act of dehumanization and similar to the tactics of hate groups?

It shouldn't be that surprising. The occult certainly has spoken on the issue of abortion:

Well it seems relevant to a thread that is about abortion and religion. And I am just curious...did you actually watch it?

part of it. someone found a couple of women who called themselves witches and pagan who are also pro-choice. and you took that to prove that witches and pagans lead the entire abortion movement.
if I find a couple of people who call themselves Christians but have been convicted of child molesting, should I claim that child molesters are the leaders of the Christian faith?
    (the answer is no.)

No...watch the whole thing. Many of the witches are not just pro-choice, but pro-abortion in a very disturbing way. One of them described abortion as a sacrament and as a blood sacrifice to Artemis. Another person purposefully had an abortion every single year in order to sacrifice it to Artemis. And then it is explained that some of these women believe that they are robbing men of their power by spilling the blood of their children in order to feed that power to the goddess Tiamat so that Tiamat can one day overthrow the male dominated world setting up a new female dominated world.

It's a little bit more than just a couple witches that happen to be pro-choice.

Abortion seems to be sacrosanct to the left, so the lefties that were at the demonstration that are saying "hail Satan' are just expressing their true feelings, and honoring their master. No surprise here. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. More evidence of the shear lunacy and thuggery of the left, when their religion's abortion sacrament is threatened. Why else would they act this way? Lawmakers have to protect themselves from these groups violent threats?

is singing any song proof of sincerity of what the song is about?

sincerity resides within-- known only to the person and God. To have some sort of notion that just because a person is singing a song or making a pledge, that that is proof of sincerity is naive.

peer pressure could well have been goading some of the children to sing Amazing Grace without knowing what the song is about. And quite possibly peer pressure was goading some of the children into mocking the children who were singing Amazing grace.

the love and mercy given to us by God because God desires us to have it, not because of anything we have done to earn it

and as an extension---all that we have, all that we have experienced(joyful, sorrowful, pleasant, painful, etc) is but by the Grace of God.

    Hey, wait a minute !

    But . . . were they good witches . . . or bad witches ?

As far as assessing witches go, apparently some of them are worse than the others. So hey, we need to be careful here not to conflate and equivocate the worst with the not-so-worst.

If we're not careful, we could get downright stereotypical and very negative about people who openly proclaim themselves as witches. And who might sometime say Hail Satan, and make a human sacrifice or two. If they get the chance.

That is a helluva post to offer in, albeit tangential, defense of late term abortion, I must say.

It's the oldest trick in the book for liberals, when you can't offer any logical explanation for your imposed opinion, go with shock value.

    Funny how perspective changes.

I was listening to NPR yesterday and they were talking about the proposed laws in North Carolina that would requre abortion clinics to have the same medical standards as a traditional medical clinic and that a doctor must be present when procedures are performed. The pro-abortion lobby was opposing those requirements and wanted to keep the status quo, which appears to put women's lives at risk due to unsupervised procedures.

It seems to be a one-way street and the pro-abortion side wants abortions anyway, anyhow, anytime and to hell with proper medical attention and counseling.

    That's exactly right!

Texas's law is the same, making the abortion clinics work with the same regs for safety/emergencies as other medical clinics that do surgeries. Instead of doing something to help the non-compliant clinics become safer, they fight the law. Sounds like a good argument.

If the administration can do what it is doing with power plants for the sake of the planet and people's health(at a huge cost to those same people and our economy), why is this legislation a problem? It is clearly for the health and safety of the people who may use the clinic, if it costs these clinics a bunch of money to become compliant, too damn bad. These are the rules you have to play by! Just like they other medical facilities have to.

It's Great to be a Florida Gator!
