Per Donovan, Harris is back in school but probably won't play the rest of this year.

Very happy for Harris. He's going to help a lot next year, I'd have to think.

Nope, Billy just announced it. Said he's working his way back onto the team and if all goes well, he will be back in Orange and Blue next year.

No worries, sorry about that Hall.

Just for clarification, what are the rules on that kind of thing? Why no names?

Don't be such a pessimist lol. Seriously, I'm kidding. You've been taking a beating (unfairly I think) on the other thread for the Wilby ankle thing and I'm trying to lighten the mood a bit. This would, however, be huge for next year. I think we all need to cross our fingers big-time on Harris, as the transfer market seems to be drying up and it doesn't look like we are players for any un-commited HS kids who could make an immediate impact. Simply put, I was beginning to accept we would not have a 5 on the roster next year. This gives us some hope, even if it's a long shot right now.

I will send you a PM which is now called a conversation. Located at the top in the blue bar. Looks like a letter in case you are not familiar with it.

Huge news. I really hope he can get back onto the team. We really need some big men next year with Young, Yeguette, and Prather gone. I hope we can convince Walker to come back next year too, so that we would have Harris, Walker, and DFS as a starting front court with the freshmen (and the occasional 3 guard lineup) providing depth.

I hope he's paying his own way this semester since he's not on the team.

Presuming he works his way back on the team, does he still have 2 years to play since he isn't playing this season?

We'll also have Alex Murphy next January or sooner if the NCAA grants his appeal to play from the start of the season.

Yep. Good call. It will give us a bit of cushion if something goes wrong, similar to this year when we could absorb the academic issues of Walker and Harris being thrown out of school.

Harris has a LONG way to go, and has not been able to meet the plan set by BD any of the other several times he was in dog house...don't hold your breath on this one....Harris is really not a bad kid...just no real desire to push himself in any aspect of his life, despite all the help and built in advantages you can get as a scholly athlete at UF

Huge news. We were going to be very thin next year, in fact we might not have had a C at all. To be honest as good as this team is I think more attention should be paid to next year as well.
