Now that's a Head Ball Coach! I told my dad that he's basically the run version of Steve Spurrier
What a turnaround for Auburn.. Malzahn outcoaches Saban, unbelievable.
He put together a great staff
Well coached team. Bama has the better talent, Auburn just outcoached them..
I wanted him when Meyer quit. I was called stupid.
You hire a real coaching staff, this is what happens.
Auburn jumped to #1 in the computers with that win. They'll be solidly #1 if they beat Missouri.
Plus his defense will be a lot better next year
I wanted Malzahn too. Now look.
Bama has better talent, their players have had more time in their current system, a more experienced QB, etc but Auburn pulled it out. How? Does Bama have a ton of injuries or something?
Malzahn is an offensive genius. He literally wrote the book on spread offenses. He put together a nice defensive staff and let them coach.
I have lately developed an admiration for great coaching, regardless of the team, that I never had before.
Good for Auburn, they don't have to cheat anymore.
He turned the Auburn program around within a year and look where they are now. Muschamp took three years nowhere but downhill. Foley, take a hard look at them!
Malzahn's system negates talent.
No other explanation.
I would empty the bank to get Malzhan.
When I saw he got Ellis Johnson I knew he was smart putting together his staff. I like the "run version of SOS" comment. I'm still trying to figure out how they ran up the middle vs Bama.
How are they doing it with a converted wr?!? That's what I want to know.
Too late. We couldn't get him now. We are a step down now.
It's just a great scheme. It's not a gimmick b/c it is still predicated on having a great oline.
Great win for Auburn. A bama weak spot got exposed in their kicking game. I'm sure they are partying in Columbus right now
Posters on here argued with me when I put Malzhan in the upper tier of SEC coaches.
In fact, some folks on here claimed Boom was easily a better coach than Malzahn.
Wonder if anyone wants to admit to that now?
Can anyone else here believe that FSU will play OSU for all the marbles now?
