That's pretty much every other year. I'm sure fsu's and uga's schedules equate to an episode of romper room.

Maybe you didn't notice that the reason UF was given the subjective hardest schedule was ..... playing FSU. Also FSU has the 18th estimated SOS in the article. Due to the nature of the 4 team playoffs, preseason ranking can be as important as SOS. A 1 loss team that stays in the top 6-10 will be considered more than a 1 loss team with a better SOS that never got into the top ten.

    According to ... Bleacher Report?

Can we pass until we get something more valuable?

Team Opp. Win % Opp. Won-Loss Non-Con Opp.

    Arkansas 0.656 103-54 .510 (26-25)

    Tennessee 0.652 101-54 .692 (36-16)

    Texas A&M 0.645 100-55 .520 (26-24)

    Kentucky 0.641 98-55 .640 (32-18)

    South Carolina 0.619 96-59 .673 (35-17)

    Auburn 0.604 93-61 .520 (26-24)

    Georgia 0.601 92-61 .667 (34-17)

    Ole Miss 0.586 89-63 .469 (23-26)

    Florida 0.569 87-66 .380 (19-31)

    Missouri 0.556 84-67 .647 (33-18)

    LSU 0.536 82-71 .510 (26-25)

    Mississippi State 0.530 80-71 .333 (16-32)

    Vanderbilt 0.517 78-73 .429 (21-28)

    Alabama 0.473 71-79 .271 (13-35)

This is based upon the 2014 Schedule using 2013 results. Your OCC schedule drags down any realistic claims to the toughest schedule in the nation, but you have a BRUTAL 7 game stretch of @ Bama, @ Tenn, LSU, Mizzou, UGA, @ Vandy, Scar.

The problem with this list is that it is based solely on past performance. We have no way of knowing, right now, if the perceived tough games will actually be tough games, on either team's schedules. Herein lies the problem with both pre/early season SOS rankings and preseason polls as well.

And we can all assume that since you love tough schedules, you won't be complaining when UF loses four games.

    Exactly!!
There are only a few sure wins in the SEC to begin with, but aside from missing Auburn, it's hard to imagine a more difficult all-around schedule than the one Florida faces in 2014.

We have some 1 and 2 win teams OOC that bring down the schedule, but it doesn't really matter if your gimme game is against a 1 win team or a 6 win team. It's still a gimme game.

Toughest schedule in the nation is driven by how many tough games you have. We're looking at four top ten opponents (#1 FSU, #4 USCe, #5 Mizzou, #8 Bama) and six top 25 opponents (add #14 LSU, #23 Vandy), based on last year. Vandy may drop with the coaching change, but UGA will almost certainly return to the top 25 and possibly the top 10 (replacing Mizzou). LSU is a possible top 10 team.

What other team in the country faces anything like that?

    Our schedule is always brutal.
Exactly why we need the best coaching staff in the country.

After last year i look at all teams a bit differently.
I mean they all are potentially hard.

Sure. But if Bleacher Report had rewarded Alabama the "2013 National Champions - by Bleacher Report" they would have claimed it amongst their 67 other football National Championships!

Yet some will cherry pick one of the cupcakes we DO have and whine about how we don't play anybody yet say nothing when other teams have a cupcake come up....

I've entered the Twilight Zone. SC is listed as notable match-ups in a lot of these team's schedules.

I agree it is a brutal schedule, as it is most every year. But, it makes for a very exciting football season, with little room to relax and coast. Almost every game is worth waiting for and relevant. Honestly, I almost hate to see us schedule some of the "preseason' games" we often do at the beginning of the year, although I acknowledge you need a few along the way. for the team to heal. I never could understand why people would cherry pick a few games we have and then argue we don't play a tough schedule. C'mon, Alabama, UGA, SC, Auburn, LSU, FSU, Mizzo, and UT will be strong again. That's a ridiculous schedule.

Tennessee has a pretty formidable schedule with Ok, USCe, Mizzou, Bama, Vandy, UGA, UF and Utah State all garnering top 25 slots depending on the poll.
