OSU's issues aren't coaching or talent, it's the annual piss poor schedule they play. Winning 24 times against trash teams means very little, but it gives them a false sense of accomplishment. Every year they find themselves ranked in the top ten until they play a real team and get embarrassed. To use one of Urbans favorite quotes " You woke up on third base, but never hit the triple."

Message boards are also a place where people let frustration out! I watched the game, MSU is good, but OSU made some "interesting" coaching play calls, that ended horribly. After a game that you lost & should have won, that would have put you in the NC, I can't see any poster saying "well, Meyer's been good, it's ok kids!" This was for the NC!!! They have every right to complain about some play-calling during the game. Since when are people not allowed to say a single negative word about their team & share their thoughts? Nowadays, you're a "spoiled fan" , "stupid", etc. I call B.S.

You're allowed to critique, as long as you stay a true fan! In my opinion...only real fans are going on a message board anyway! Go Gators!

They'll really freak out if Urban starts wearing a conservative looking sweater vest.

Gotta love people who have never coached criticizing a coach who just finished a two year run at 24-1.

No, he said best athlete to play QB. Not best QB. Still disagree with this statement though.

Meyer has never been quite the offensive genius coach like his reputation states. His offenses certainly can be conservative at times and I have always criticized his playcalling as predictable. Even when his offenses do great it's because Meyer recruits such great talent. Meyer is CEO type coach like Bowden. He is a great recruiter and motivator, but he is not an HC who is a great OC like Spurrier nor a HC who is a defensive wizard like Saban.

Many OSU fans want a couple of Meyer's assistants fired. It's funny because some posters thought that we are spoiled and ran off Meyer. We are no more spoiled than any fan base of a major program. Heck, even Boise fans booed Petersen a few years back for not running up the score when they were up 40 points.

I do think he needs to get a high-powered DC for them. And that 3rd down play they were crowing about would have worked perfectly had the TE made his block. The Michigan State defender just made a great play and won the battle. The playcall was good, the execution was not.

Doubt Gator fans are actually going to forget that stat for OSU... considering the fact that Gators gave OSU that 7th loss! ;)

As long as Urbs doesn't bring OSU a NC, I am happy with it.

Maybe the bucknuts realize, once the 4 team playoffs are in place, they can no longer walk into the NCG.

Wow, I say that guy can't coach (well other than ST if that's a skill!?) and I get dumb and disagrees. Anyways, totally agree with you tilly. He should have retired Jan. 2010 then he would have been more respected and be in the ring of honor already.

Yeah and he helped get him 2 titles. Urban Meyer is a great soundbite just like the ones they make on his twitter every game day. Best Part of 12-0 is.... LOL. Anyways, it's only down hill from here Urban. The playoff will be a SEC playground with 1-2 teams at least every year.

With all due respect...Your fanbase has shown its colors here many times...and there is a meltdown in the game thread from Saturday on Bucknuts.

My point was, there are some here that think we ran Meyer off. My point is, its worse in Columbus.

Except he didn't. He actually missed the point of my OP. It was not a shot at Urban...as I am considered an Urban apologist by many. o_O

It was actually a point aimed at some of our fanbase.

Ubran didn't really coach Tim, basically just said here's the ball go run it up the middle. I fully blame Tebow's lack of success in the NFL on Urban. He never tried to fix or change his throwing motion that was clearly flawed. Tebow could of been something really special in the NFL but Ubran's selfishness ruined it for all of us, at least we got 2 titles out of it.
