NEW ORLEANS – For the second time this season, sophomore hurdler, jumper, and sprinter Grant Holloway garnered United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division I Men's National Athlete of the Week honors, the organization announced Tuesday morning. Holloway was also named the SEC Men's Runner of the Week Tuesday afternoon.

Holloway broke the 60-meter hurdles collegiate record last Friday, crossing in 7.42 seconds and shaving three hundredths of a second off the record, set by Omar McLeod—who finished second to Holloway in the record-breaking race—at the 2015 NCAA Indoor Championships. That run also made Holloway, 20, the second man in history to run 7.42 or faster prior to his 21st birthday, joining Cuba's Dayron Robles as the only other man to do so (per records kept by alltime-athletics).
