    Mary Ann.

I once met Dawn Wells at Reddington Bch where she used to live. She was just as nice as she could be and, some how, found humor in a 21 yr old drunk fool telling her that she was waaaay hotter than Ginger. I mean way, way, way hotter. Not even closssssse. I mean, Ginger had nothing on you, Ms Wells. Nothing!!!

Yep, pretty much how it went down almost 25 yrs ago.

    My personal favorite? Mary Ann.

Dawn Wells versus Tina Louise? Not even close.

Well, unless you like them skanky and self absorbed.

30 years ago, Dawn was in a play in NYC when she read a Dewars ad on the back of a magazine (Playboy?). Dewars ran an ad campaign that featured a photo of someone interesting, interviewed them about their lives and then finished up by asking them what they liked to drink; answer was always Dewars. Dawn saw the ad that featured Ralph Heath and his Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary (on Redington Shores, FL). Dawn is/was a big time animal lover. Her play was headed for FL (St. Pete) and, when it did, she made it a point to visit the sanctuary, where she met Ralph. They hit it off and dated. She bought a place on Redington Beach. They almost married. Ralph wrote his autobiography and asked his attorney's secretary if she'd type it up for him. She did and he eventually asked her out. She said no, explaining that she was seeing someone. That someone was me. We've now been married for 33 years. We moved into a beach condo next to Ralph and the Sanctuary last year. Moved away last month. Ralph is a nice, interesting guy and the sanctuary, while a bit run down, makes for a nice visit. That said, Ralph has MAJOR financial issues, has a pretty sketchy financial past and is in trouble with both the IRS and the State. Ralph told me that he and Dawn keep in touch.

I think he is actually "Mr. Attorney's Secretary"...not Mr Deathroll Wells.

It was a bit hard to follow so you are forgiven. :)

She lived next to the folks that owned the old St Pete Spanish restaurant, Pepen, I believe.

That's Mrs. Mary Ann Deathroll to you (psst. please don't tell my wife). Yes, San Remo. Not a high-end place but the location, the views, the pool/hot tub/grill/beach combo was excellent. Had a nice year out there. Loved watching the sunsets. Caught my 1st (and only) tarpon right there (and from a kayak). Moved back into St. Pete to be closer to our 1st grand-child.
