232323232fp5366;_nu=3275_547_258_WSNRCG=32___;_39932_nu0mrj.jpg Message to 2015 recruits: If you value a world-class education; if you leave your ego at the door early because you will have to once you join your college team; if you are SEC caliber and can truly start to map your life, particularly after football,,,then commit to the GATORS...now. No more drama queens, it is beneath a man's dignity...I am calling out CeCe Jefferson,Martez Ivey, George Campbell, Byron Cowart,Jeffrey Holland, Jacques Patrick, and Chandler Cox to gather, commit, and strengthen the foundation to the best days of your life.

    Nobody wants drama queens.

But calling out specific players like you did could be taken as calling them drama queens. I'm sure that's not your intent. I'm also sure you can agree that we don't want them to take it that way.

Besides, this decision is a big one and shouldn't be taken lightly by any of them. Taking their time or not necessarily being sure about which school they want to commit to, doesn't make anyone a drama queen.

Let them go thru the process, and be smart about what their goals are and which program is the best fit to meet their goals. As long as they don't play anyone like that punk chit that Cook pulled, it's all good.

In reference to the poll at the top of the page, shouldn't there be a box that says no to give those the other option to vote since it's worded in a yes or no kind of way?

No matter what the intent was that was one of the most retarded posts I've seen. If you are sick of drama queens then don't follow recruiting and you won't have to worry about it. Personally I think people tweeting recruits and trying to interact with teenagers is creepy.
This is UF football try and have some dignity.

I think this is a passionate post from a person that love his UF Gators. Recruiting is frustrating sometimes.

May well be. That's why I try to give posters the benefit of the doubt most of the time. You don't know them well enough having only 63 posts.

I think this thread does the exact opposite of its intentions. I get not liking the way Cook handled things but I agree with Oak that it seems like you're calling the above mentioned players out. That being said, i'd be ok if those guys went ahead and committed.

Ps. OP lose the socks with the sandals ;)

Love the irony of calling out the dramatic nature of recruiting with a perfectly theatrical prologue of sorts :)

    Bravo!

Larry, drop by anytime and enjoy the roller coaster ride that is recruiting. Remember, boys will be boys.

Personally, I'm glad Campbell has a little drama queen in him. Otherwise, he'd still be committed to Michigan which was not by any means a bad choice, especially given the "life after football" criteria.

Your words are true. I give the staff a lot of credit for being str8up with recruits.

I want my Gator loving reptiles to understans that I teach and work with young men in this age group. With all the terrible influences and distractions in society, it is best to get their head str8 ASAP.

Well then it'll be a good thing if chooses UF then too. We have that "life after football" thing covered as well.

Good on you for working with young men at this age - it's an important contribution you make.

I certainly agree that these young men need to get/keep their head straight... and that's not an easy thing to do with the influences and distractions you mention, especially when so many people are blowing smoke up their butts about how great they are.

I think the main issue with the OP, is whether the above message really gets heard by young men who've been called out as drama queens (or perceive that they have been) by someone who doesn't know anything about them. They might tend to react to the accusation rather than hear the bigger picture message.

The word if was used, clear meaning, no accusation, just warning about getting caught up in the drama.

We do the "life during football" thing much better than Michigan.

I'm pretty sure Muschamp sits the recruits down and makes them read Gator Country

I've been trying to come up with a response to this... And all I can think of is that this is the weirdest post I've ever seen.
