Enjoying watching them run at Nurburbring even if it is the shorter version of the track. My son and I spent many, many hours playing Gran Turismo and of course anyone who is familiar with the game knows this track showed up in Gran Turismo 4. He's grown and gone now but I miss the days (and nights) we spent playing various versions of the game.

German won it. First time since 06 when Shumacher won.

Exciting race. I think I'm going to have to see that new Ron Howard movie too. It'd be cool if they could make the tack safe enough to race on the entire thing again.

Every time I watch one of these races I wonder why I don't do more of it. My wife loves NASCAR but this is more the kind of racing I like even though NASCAR is cool too.

Rush, a biography of Formula 1 champion driver Niki Lauda and the 1976 crash that almost claimed his life. Mere weeks after the accident, he got behind the wheel to challenge his rival, James Hunt.

Nurburgring is cool, but Leh Keen's 'rain dance' is better than any F1 race.

Oh and watching the tractor trying to get the car off the track and watching the car roll back onto the track without anyone in it was hilarious

I used to watch NASCAR but just can't get into it anymore. I think it's because of the 4 hour long races and ridiculous amounts of prerace shows. F1 is so much shorter and you know what time the race is going to start. It's also a much better product than it was in the early 2000s.

A must watch: In memory of his former teammate Stefan Bellof who made a record lap of 6:11:13 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife on May 28 1983 on the Porsche 956, Derek Bell goes for a run on the same track and with the same car, 30 years later.

In the first Keen video he is going about 153mph in 6th gear at the 9 minute mark.
So many times the steering wheel is full lock, and he just drives out of it. One of the all time great stints anywhere.
The second video is a great interview with him telling all about the things he was doing in the race.

Keen may be good, but given the same equipment, I bet Sabine Schmitz could beat him.
